The hotel is in a beautiful area and its style and architecture fit in well. It's a must for any keen golfer as it sits next too and it is within walking distance of the Woodhall Spa Golf Club. The room like the rest of th hotel was large, warm, clean and generously stocked. My only complaint was that the Wi-Fi didn't work in my room but did work in other areas of the hotel. We were in a corner room so may have been a dead spot.
The staff were all very professional, friendly and respectful. We had both breakfast and lunch and the quality and portion size for both were brilliant. The only complaint I had regarding food was a logistical one during breakfast. We recieved little instruction as to how it worked and were left to our own devices. The cold buffet (Cereals, Yoghurts & Fruits) was Self Service. The hot buffet however was staff operated but was not manned pernamently (As the gent walked away for extended periods) and lacked any signage. This in turn led to several misunderstandings and embarrassing clashes where folk served themselves hot food only to be told that staff would serve it for them. COVID-19 unfortunately didn't help this as the layout of the room did appear to suggest a one way system was in place.
In terms of COVID-19 the hotel were takingbit serious with plenty of sanitizer, signage and clear enforcement of the rules in place. A clearly marked one way system was in place but this was rendered useless at times when certain doors were locked.
