Winter Park Resort Ski Mountain Base Condo

This wonderfully appointed, cozy, and newly renovated condo (STR#020036) located at the base of Winter Park Resort, provides easy access to restaurants and activities year round. Neighboring The Saloon at A-frame Club, which has exactly what you're looking for; a stiff drink and a menu full of locally sourced, flavorful classics. The bar and heated outdoor deck area are open daily to the public.
Our cozy condo is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit. Offering a king size bed, a genuine leather sleeper sofa, with an upgraded queen size mattress, 2 smart tv's, indoor fireplace, full size washer/dryer and complete kitchen with dishwasher. The free shuttle stop is located across from street from the condo, allowing easy access to the base of the mountain, as well as, the town of Winter Park. There are 2 parking spaces located on site. The unit has a secure locker available to store skis, mountain bikes, equipment, gear and more. Please allow us host you in our newly renovated Rocky Mountain Hideaway!

Winter weekend

My partner and I stayed at the Rocky Mountain Hideaway for a weekend and had a great time in Winter Park. Walking distance/close to the bus stop, with a great vibe. Would recommend!

Ski Trip

Annual ski trip with my teen son. First time in Winter Park and this place was in perfect location and perfect for the two of us. It was clean and had everything we needed. Location made everything easy and Debbie is a great host who was responsive and pleasant with every question we had. Definitely recommend this place if it is available and you are looking to enjoy Winter Park.

Perfect mountain stay

A small group of friends and I stayed here before skiing the mountain. The unit is recently redone, very clean and more than enough amenities. Can’t beat the location with proximity to the mountain and town. Debby and Mike were incredibly responsive throughout the whole process. Would absolutely stay again!

Get spot for skiing!

Very clean, updated, high end apartment with a great location for skiing! Close enough to walk but also has the shuttle super close. Owners are very helpful and great communicators. Provided everything u need and more! Would stay here again:)

Great spot near the base

Liked this place a lot. Very clean and largely as advertised. It's about a 20 minute walk to the base, a bit longer than I anticipated, or there is a shuttle. Main bed was very comfortable, although pull out sofa bed mattress was not- very thin. Walls are pretty thin in the building, so we heard a lot going on around us in the evening, and starting early in the morning. I'd stay here again!

Excellent condo!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The condo was fabulous. It is very clean and comfortable. The beds, pillows and towels were really nice. Even the pull out couch mattress was comfortable. They had lots of extra pillows and blankets. You can tell the owners have put a lot of energy into making it a pleasant experience. They provided so many small comforts like shampoo/conditioner, laundry detergent, first aid kit, ziplocks, foil/plastic wrap, etc. The owner communicated everything clearly and timely. We would definitely stay here again!

New Favorite VRBO

I have stayed at quite a few VRBO’s and I even have my own listed. The Rocket Mountain Hideaway is my new favorite. The hosts are gracious with excellent communication. The pictures listed are accurate. The amenities that they provide are nicer than some hotels. I appreciated, good quality sheets, and towels with extra blankets if needed.For this day in particular, I did not have a lot of needs. I wanted to be close to the ski area. Although there is a bus I chose to walk because it was so close. The unit is also really close to trails and I went for a nice Snowy run. I can’t wait to come back

Great experience for our family of 4

First off, Debby is great at communicating and helpful when we needed to reach out to her. We coming from out of state, and Debby was kind enough to let us check in a little early. I'm sure this isn't always possible, but we appreciate her working with us in this case. I was told by a neighbor that these condos were recently updated and it shows. Everything in the condo looked and felt new. It was me and my wife, and our 2 kids who are under 10 years old. The space worked just fine as I (dad) was able to sleep on the pull out couch :) The kitchen is small, but was stacked with everything you'd need. Actually, that could describe the entire place....stacked with everything you'd need. There's even a "welcome basket" with some kid and adult treats inside :) Location.....the place is an approximate 12 min walk to the slopes. There's also a shuttle that comes around every 20 minutes that you can take to the slopes and ski resort. The TV has plenty of stations for you to watch if that's something you're interested in. The walk-out patio on ground level was also used many times by us. Our kids loved playing in the snow outside. The condo was clean, although we did notice a few crumbs in the living room rug and we found a cheez-it under the side table. Overall, great experience and we'd recommend this to any group that's willing to sleep in a king bed + a pull out couch. We'd gladly stay here again!

Great Location and Excellent Hosts

It was a great spot for my ski trip. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. I'll definitely be renting with them again next time I'm in Winter Park.

Enjoyable Condo Stay

Although the weather left a bit to be desired, the condo met our needs well. Plenty of extra niceties. Few hiccups that were handled promptly and with great communication.
