The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire

The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire

8/10 Good
"Easy to find, reasonable amount of parking. Lovely interior tastefully decorated with lots of beautiful fabrics for curtains, chairs, cushions etc. My room was clean, modern, smart and a decent size, but lacked a proper chair. There was a tiny stool with no back. So only place to watch TV was while sitting on/in bed. I enjoyed the in room coffee maker, which included a decaffeinated option. Breakfast was fine, but not outstanding, some of fruit was over ripe. The waitress though was helpful and my tea arrived very quickly. The breakfast buffet was minimal but adequate. Croissants were lovely."

"Very welcoming. Room was clean. Very comfortable . Staff very helpful. Would certainly come again but probably opt for room not on the front. Very noisy which I appreciate is not you fault. We ate in the restaurant with some friends would recommend. The food was delicious. Compliments to the Chefs. Service was good. We had a lovely stay thank you."

10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay. Good sized twin bedded room with nice little outside sitting area overlooking the river. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Parking was £5 per night which was fine as the hotel is well located an easy 10 minute walk from the cathedral and town centre."
