"The hotel is in one of more scenic values of the lakes, and right on the route of the Cumbria Way as well as shorter day walk routes. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view. The staff were welcoming and dinner and breakfast were good."

"A very lovely, well maintained property in a lovely building . The room was excellent and the cleanliness was 10/10. Shops were no more than a 10 minute drive, peaceful no noises from houses near by. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I highly recommended this property."

"Nice hotel. Great seating outside on the lake and in conservatory- would be better if more seating in conservatory. Pub/bar area itself is very dark and dingy. Seats outside the bar area were nice but not enough - some of the drinks were dear -£16 for a large wine! Food in brasserie was nice and staff nice too. Parking free at the hotel and very close to the lake boats snd train. Lovely place near the lake and would stay there again if in area."
