The Imperial Hotel

"Lovely old hotel with character ideally situated on the sea front,we had a superior room with small balcony to sit out on to enjoy the great views . Good size car park at very reasonable price. Excellent buffet breakfast. We had two 3 course evening meals, beautifully cooked,good service. Rooms a little dated,smallish bathroom but had everything needed. All the staff were cheery, friendly and helpful --we had a problem with the TV, the receptionist came up and sorted it straightaway. A very pleasant homely atmosphere,often lacking these days! We would definitely return ."
The Royal Lion Hotel

"The Royal Lion Hotel is a nice place to stay. It is in a very good position to explore Lyme Regis from. The staff are very nice and helpful and friendly. The food was good for me as I have some food intolerances and I could always find something tasty to eat. I hope they light the fires in the bar soon as it is getting chilly and a fire is so comforting. We had a very nice room with access to a garden and seating. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well. A lovely shower with plenty of hot water as well. I also like the traditional rooms on the upper floors as they are more in keeping with the age of the building. I hope the Royal Lion is not modernised too much. We want to stay there because of the Tradition of the building, the décor including furniture and the comfort. Please don't modernise too much. We will be back."

"A short overnight stay was comfortable and pleasant. Lovely atmosphere in the bar when we arrived, bed was comfortable and breakfast was fully and plenty of options. Everywhere was tidy and staff were super helpful."

"Clean and comfertable. Food, wine and beer good. Good location. Many well behaved dogs. Only issue, booked a table in resteraunt, didn't expect dogs to be in there-but ok. But to see a cat led flat out on top of dining table, with no one attempting to move it, until diners arrived to unwiped table(cat bed)?Relocated for meal to bar area."

"Beautiful looking old hotel with picturesque scenery especially the river Room was lovely size, bed comfy, hot shower Could do with tidying up the patio/garden area and the net curtain needs replacing. Wiping off muddy or coffee marks off the walls in the bedroom. TV needs tuning very difficult to source a channel. I did raise this issue but was told its always been that way! Staff were super friendly, the evening meal was beautiful. Great waitress service"
