Look for the pier house, which contains around 500 arcade games and 14 major rides and attractions, including go-karts and a small roller coaster. The pier also has bars and places to eat, such as an ice-cream parlor and an Edwardian-style tearoom.

Families won’t want to miss the Weston SeaQuarium, which is filled with local marine life and educational displays. This aquarium includes exhibits on tropical reefs, crustaceans and British marine rays. For more museum time, head further inland to the International Helicopter MuseumOpens in a new window, home to over 80 helicopters from the United Kingdom, Europe and North America.

Walk down High Street and browse the wares at well-known retail stores and independent boutiques. This street is also known for its restaurants, cafés and bars. Dine in award-winning restaurants or pick up traditional take-away fish and chips to eat on the beach.

Find the Playhouse Theatre on High Street. This beautiful 664-seat theatre has a diverse programme, including comedy, film and dance performances as well as seasonal pantomime, a musical comedy stage production designed for families.
