"Does the job really! If you need a quick night's stay before getting the ferry or tunnel then it's ideal, however be aware that some rooms have no windows and the place is a *little* rundown. Main receptionist was really nice and very helpful - I would stay again but only for short stays."

We did the walk around the nature reserve and boat trip was great! Pete the captain was so nice and very knowledgable. We had the best time and Will definitely come back soon . "We had no hot water in our room so couldn’t use the bath or shower, the air conditioning unit did not work and the room wasn’t well cleaned. I have to say that after speaking with the staff at the hotel they were very helpful and did offer a refund for the affected night, but we did check out a night early to find a different hotel as the problems weren’t resolved and a new room couldn’t be offered due to it being fully booked. It’s quite run down and was a disappointment, we expected it to be nicer than it was and definitely expected the basic things like hot water to work. It is in a great location, right in the center of everything and good for a night but if you’re looking for something more romantic for say an anniversary then I would probably avoid. It’s a shame as it could be much nicer if it had a bit of TLC."
