Clean cabin, great price!
This is our second time staying at this garage apartment cabin. It’s consistently VERY clean and comfortable. It is perfect for our family of four. It’s very well appointed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had a Keurig, which we use at home. The location feels remote but is convenient to downtown West Jefferson. My only concern is that a propane heater is used for heat in the living room, which has a strong odor. The heat for the bedrooms and bathroom is on a separate system and does not have the same gas odor. Overall, a great value in West Jefferson. I would stay here again and recommend it.

Very clean. Beautifully decorated and everything you could need is provided. You can tell the owners really take care of the cabin and care about your stay. Had an issue with heat when we checked in. Temperature had dropped like 20°. Called owners and was fixed in 5 minutes. Thank you.

Were in for a wedding near W. Jefferson. Perfect place for a week or weekend in NC mountains. Beautiful scenery from the bungalow. Very clean and feels more spacious that the actual square footage. Owners very responsive when I had some questions. Hope to stay there again and see more of the area.

12 minutes away from West Jefferson downtown
So close to town, yet in your own mountain holler. This is a unique cabin above the 3 car garage. The owners lived in it, as they built their own home on the property. The cabin has a wonderful kitchen and bathroom. The entrance is in the backside of the garage, so you have your own privacy on the back porch. The owners were very friendly, yet left us alone. West Jefferson is quaint and wonderful town to relax in. It’s like a step back in time and relaxing to wander around downtown. Don’t miss driving up to Mt Jefferson State Park, New River State Parks, and the Frescos in 2 churches. Plus only 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Overall, the cabin is a great location and comfortable accommodations.

Very clean and well stocked. Spacious living area and bedrooms. Nice view. Quiet rural setting. Easy drive to West Jefferson. Wifi was a little inconsistent. Single AC unit in living room required bedroom doors to remain open for circulation.

A slice of Heaven
Cabin was clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything I needed. While there, I only used one bedroom; It had a great view and a comfortable bed. Bathroom was nicely appointed and clean. Nice porch which was perfect for enjoying the outdoors. Slept like a rock while there. Cracked the bedroom window at night and listened to a creek babbling somewhere in the distance.

Lovely mountain cabin
The property was as advertised. The firepit was great for smores and we used the charcoal grill for dinner each night. W. Jefferson was only 15 minutes away. Stepping out on to the deck, the first thing that you see is the beautiful mountains almost in the back yard. Definitely follow the driving directions that the host emails you, because if you choose the quickest route in your gps you will be driving on a narrow winding rocky mountain road. We loved it and would stay again.

This is my new home away from home
What can I say... words cannot explain. Beautiful view of stars, deer, mountains. I stayed here during a winter storm with high winds, and barely heard anything. Plenty of kitchenware for good home cooking. Cable and internet were more than sufficient. We had our Christmas dinner with my family here, everyone was as much in love with this place as we were. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of closet space. Washer and dryer were a life saver on this trip. Owners are super responsive. Not enough words to compliment this home. Rating: 9/6 stars.

Retreat and relax
We enjoy hiking, solitude, great views and good food…this cabin offered all of that! The cabin sits on a knoll next to the owners home. It is homey/cozy, simple yet tasteful. It was spotless…not even dust on the ceiling fans! The views from the porch are awesome, we saw some beautiful sunrises and a rainbow over the mountain our last night. Jefferson and West Jefferson are not too far and offer good dining options although we did most of our own cooking. There is outstanding hiking within 30-45 minutes with easy access to the AT. The owner is accessible and easy to work with…oh, did I mention the raspberries? The owner has a large patch and invited us to pick, which we did, EVERY DAY! We stayed for a week and already booked our next stay. Thank you Danna.

This was our third annual girls trip to West Jefferson. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the front porch in the mornings and evenings. Beautiful mountain view. Peaceful. Surrounded by nature. Great place to find serenity.

Went for the weekend for some birthday fun with my amazing man. The view was the best!! Cabin was perfect, clean and wonderful. Pictures did not do it justice! It ended up being the perfect weekend! Owners were amazing to work with! We will return!

This was a great place to stay. You can sit on the porch and hear the water from nearby creeks and view the wonders of God's creation. It was clean, nicely stocked for cooking. Dressers in the bedrooms and closets to store luggage. It had everything we needed. The owner was available and responsive. We will be back!!

Great place to stay. Every morning we got to listen to the birds and just sit back and relax. The GFI went out so we didn't have hot water during our stay. Owners are to reimburse 1 night stay due to this issue, (Pending)... Make sure you arrive in the daylight, the road to the cabin would be hard to find in the dark... They give good directions, but no light to see where the driveway is at nighttime

Nice property!!
The area was nice with a gorgeous view of the mountain tops. The fire pit was a personal fav. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows with the sound of the running creek nearby. The owners were prompt and wonderful hosts! Loved the town of West Jefferson. Overall it was a relaxing Mother’s Day weekend.

Nice Mountain Getaway
We were looking for a nice place to spend the weekend with our grandson. This place provided that for us! It was a very cold and windy weekend in the NC mountains, but the cabin was cozy and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. We were able to cook and eat all of our meals there. We would have grilled out, too, had it not been for the wind. Thank you for sharing your cabin!

We never got to see the cabin due to the snow making impossible for us to get there . The owners were excellent in helping us with a refund when they did not have to. I would recommend this to others based on how we were treated and their willingness to help us get a room elsewhere. You don’t find many people that are willing to help make your stay enjoyable even if it’s not at their rental. Thank you to the wonderful owners. We will be booking here again when it’s not snowing.

The cabin is a finished cabin over a 3-car garage. The mountain views from the kitchen and front porch are breath taking. The cabin is extremely clean and well cared for. The linens and towels were comfy. The propane gas flame in pot belly stove was great for cold weather. My only complaint is the tankless water heater. It was difficult to get hot water when needed in the bathroom sink. Did not have enough water pressure for a hot shower. Staying for a long weekend was a good lenght of time to visit.

I am sorry to hear you had trouble with the water pressure. This is not usually the case. We would have been happy to address the issue if you would have given us a call. The tankless hot water heater is provided to give an endless supply of hot water so I am unclear what the issue might have been. Please feel free to reach out to me in the future if you have issues.

We really enjoyed staying here. We travel every year to the area to get our Christmas tree and usually stay in a hotel. This place was less expensive than the hotel I had found and was so much nicer. We arrived after dark and had a little bit of a hard time finding it. A clear address sign may help

Nice 'Modern Cabin'
Really nice modern cabin in quiet and beautiful surroundings. One of my biggest pet peeves with houses we have rented in the past is too soft/worn out beds and/or furniture. This bed was pretty good, although a little soft for me, but I like a really firm mattress! I recommend this place if you want to experience the mountains of western NC.

Perfect retreat!
We had a weekend getaway with some friends and our only regret was not getting to use the fire pit because it was raining. The scenery is beautiful in a little pocket surrounded by mountains and fall color. The property is shared with a main house which I hadn’t realized until we got there but the entrance and outdoor space still feels so private. We all agreed we’d love to come back!

The owners have made a very cozy little cabin tucked into the mountainside west ofWest Jefferson.Its abeautiful pine wood interior with absolutely everything necessary for cooking your favorite meals. Birds and animals abound for nature lovers.
