"Lovely place to stay, bathroom was cozy but adequate for a 1 night stay. We ate in the main pub and had a really lovely meal. Breakfast was 1st class, no complaints. Would stay again."

"The room was dusty and cobwebs were around the inside of the window and we had spiders in there. The hotel was not very well maintained, could do with painting and upgrading of some of the furniture. The wooden panelling in pool area needs attention as well. We booked breakfast for 9am and when we arrived the scrambled eggs were dried up, no black pudding, no bacon and no butter available. Parking was fine. I had wanted to stay at the hotel for a while and was disappointed with my overall experience and would not visit agan."

"Arrived to a warm welcome and advised room checks were to be completed, so check in was about 2.15. Booked a king size superior. Clean and had all you needed. Drink outside in the sun is always a delight. Had a good nights sleep. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was an excellent choice of cereals, fruit, toast, crumpets, yoghurt and more, along with a great choice of cooked. Have stayed before and always found the staff to be friendly, helpful & polite."

"The property had staff that were helpful and polite we arrived early and the chap let us check in and order us a taxi to get into town . When it was late he kept us informed. The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed . The shower products were lovely . The breakfast selection was fab and the morning staff were chatty. The hotel needs a complete overhaul it is dated and tired looking which I can imagine is disappointing for the staff that work hard . They deserve investment in the place they work . There was a front entrance before you got to the main doors that was plain awful and very off putting I was tempted to drive off but we didn’t due to our commitments ."

"This was our second time here for an overnight stay Parking is good Room was spotless and lively toiletries Staff throughout were lovely, friendly and helpful We had a Sunday roast and breakfast at the Feathers both delicious We had a much larger room the first time and room 19 small in comparison but still lovely Only suggestion we would make is for music during dinner and breakfast as when other customers are seated close to you, you can easily hear each other’s conversation Highly recommended"

"I booked a garden room which I thought should look over the garden but it didn’t it look over a wall one way and a back yard the other right next to the laundry room all you could hear was the washing machines and dryer. It was a same was a garden room at all. The pool was very cold."

"Service and location, restaurant/bar were all amazing especially the breakfst hamper in the room. The building shows some signs of age (noise from otehr rooms and floor board creaking) but the whole experience of staying here for 2 nights with our dog was lovely especially as we travelled without a car. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. highly recommend."
