We only stayed for the one night but we will definitely be returning. The owner/staff are lovely, the room and amenities were superb and the breakfast is the best we’ve ever had, cooked perfectly and it just tasted lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough. Hastings Old Town is a great little place too.

The Bay Lodge was exactly what I hoped for - very reasonably priced, no frills accommodation, a friendly family-oriented atmosphere, (being a small concern allows for a much more personalised service), and good quality breakfast with more than adequate options available - all in all the perfect launchpad for my week in Eastbourne. Lovely rooms & very helpful staff.

I chose to stay here for two nights while I was visiting Glyndebourne. Carol and Ceri were so friendly and welcoming. They took such good care of me and made sure that I wanted for nothing. The room I was given was large and extremely comfortable with a private bathroom that overlooked the beautiful garden. Breakfast was always delicious and served in the conservatory. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Enjoyable stay

We had an amazing stay and the hosts were very attentive from the minute we arrived to when we left and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and really clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were lovely. We will definitely visit again and this would be the only place we would stay in Eastbourne.

This guesthouse was perfect in every way. The single room was a little on the small side, but I expected that, and it was immaculate. By which, I mean spotless and without fault. Keith, who welcomed me to the A&V was the perfect host, and when I had to be up earlier than normal for Eastbourne Extreme I was attending, he cooked breakfast earlier so I wouldn't miss out. We loved the cleanliness of the property. The room was superb and clean with a beautiful view of the sea.

Lovely little hotel. Food is excellent!! Recommend the fish and chips!! Nice choice of breakfast, cooked fresh to order. Lovely staff and friendly locals. Will definitely be staying again!! 10/10

Lovely hotel, conveniently located 10 minutes from the railrway station. Comfortable rooms, great service. Breakfast was excellent.

The decor of pub is stunning and the staff very attentive,also the breakfast very good and plenty choices. Cross the road is woods with footpaths where i had a good walk is also a garden centre near by where i found beautiful gifts.exellent weekend trip for me.❤

Probably the most quirky place I have stayed, ( except Frog Manor in Cheshire which I think is now closed ) fab relaxed atmosphere, great English wines, the staff are very helpful 👍
