"I was worried about my windowless room but it was surprisingly undepressing. Staff were great. Cafe was great, although they were about to change the food menu so i can’t vouch for it now. Location is pretty walkable, but it depends on what you want to be close to. I loved that there were bikes for rent right at the hotel."

"The host was the reason that I gave 2 stars instead of 1 but it can be described as 'roughing it' in broad terms, it is not by any sense a House Boat - nobody could live there. It's a boat, you could not stand up in places like the entry or the bathroom. The toilet didn't have a flush but a hose from the sink to drain it.My father and I arrived after taking an overnight flight from the states to Amsterdam. We relied on public transportation thinking that it was only North Amsterdam but I could've seen cows or sheep in the distance from it. On top of that a storm was rolling in and the host said that the boat would likely be going up and down quite a bit.We both read the description but didn't realize that it was more of an experience than a nice place to stay for a couple of days in the middle of nowhere. Complete mistake, the host was gracious enough to give us a ride back to the city limits as we booked a hotel space."
