"Friendly, helpful staff, nice breakfast... located a ways out of the city center, but there were 2 bus lines that went by our location that we used frequently. Quiet respite out of the city."

Food is really really good. I think it was about 25 euros for dinner per person. The hotel is in a little village with a nice garden with outdoor seating, indoor seating, two swing chairs and a beautiful view of grassy meadows and mountains.

Žiga arranged to meet us at the property and was so helpful. He showed us all around and explained everything we would need to know. He also kindly cooled the room before we arrived as it was in the heatwave. The location was really quiet and the room was great. Adults ended up in the upstairs room and there was a lot of space up there and a good sized bathroom. All amenities including coffee pods and water were included. Hats off to whoever does their branding! And the robes were also a great...

The room was tidy and perfectly adequate for my needs. I spent most days sightseeing, so it served its purpose well. Breakfast was decent, and the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free.
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the hotel staff. They were extremely supportive, helpful and welcoming, which made my stay a pleasant experience.

8 roomed B&B, rooms all on first floor (UK) so have to use one set of stairs. Rooms all good size. There didn't seem to be any air conditioning or fan so they were a little warm as we shut window at night to block out noise (it was not a very noisy location but could hear people talking as they walked along the street). Clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and spoke excellent English. It is about 5km from central Ljubjlana so easier if you have a car. There is some on-site parking,...

Amazing rooms. Got free upgrade to suite and it was perfect. I sih could have stayed longer than 1 night. It was snowing and my wife and I both uses the fantastic gym. One of the best equipment I've seen at a gym around Europe. Funky and boutique styling of the the hotel was class. The rooms had LG TVs with USB ports throughout the rooms. Comfortable beds and great pillow selection. The bathrooms and shower were great with shower gel and shampoo provided if you forget some. The evening food from...

Hotel Pok was a lovely hotel, very clean, breakfast was good, all staff were friendly from the minute we arrived, there is a little cafe about 400m from the hotel next to the supermarket, was great to sit and relax with a drink, staff and owner again were really friendly from the first day we went.
Would highly recommend Hotel Pok, it's 30 minutes by bus from Ljubljana but connections were good, bus stop near hotel and only €1.50 on the bus.

What a fabulous hidden treasure this hotel is!! Everything was immaculate and there were loads of extra finishing touches that made it well worth the price. Everyone was so friendly and the hotel is perfectly positioned for all the best shops and restaurants within easy strolling distance. A New Year's Eve celebration and stay to remember and I couldn't recommend this hotel more.

So the stay started badly after arrival at the hotel the system was down nobody could check-in. Once we got a paper listing of who could check in we proceeded. This could have been dealt with better as everyone waiting had to go up 1 by an and ask.
The room was great with a nice view across the city given the height of the hotel compared to other buildings.

The best area to stay in Visoko is the town centre, particularly around the main square, Trg Alije Izetbegovića.
This central area is the heart of Visoko, offering excellent access to the town's amenities and the famous pyramids. You'll find a selection of local restaurants, cafes, and shops along the main thoroughfares, making it very walkable. The River Fojnica also runs nearby, adding to the pleasant surroundings.
For couples, staying in the town centre provides a convenient base for exploring. You're just a short drive from the entrance to the 'Pyramid of the Sun' tunnels and the archaeological park, making day trips straightforward. In the evenings, there are several pleasant spots for a meal or a drink within easy walking distance.
Solo travellers will also appreciate the town centre's convenience. With everything close at hand, it's easy to navigate and find your way around.
When is the best time to go to Visoko?
The best time to go to Visoko is generally during the spring and autumn months, specifically from April to June and September to October.
These periods offer pleasant weather, with mild temperatures that are ideal for exploring the outdoor attractions without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer season, allowing for a more relaxed experience at popular sites like the Bosnian Pyramid complex.
For those interested in outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the natural landscapes surrounding Visoko, these months provide comfortable conditions. The spring brings blooming flora, while autumn showcases beautiful changing colours, making for scenic walks.
If your primary interest is visiting the Bosnian Pyramids, the shoulder seasons ensure a comfortable temperature for extended periods underground or for walking around the various excavation sites.
