Grand Vienna hotel is second to none in Vienna. I love staying at this place. Front desk staff was very courteous and pleasant at check-in. It is very important when you are traveler and do not understand the language they speak. Got a room upgrade as a VIP guest. Great experience.

When we first arrived, we were underwhelmed. There was no one to help us with our bags, and after arriving in our room, there was urine still on the toilet seat. The fire alarm also went off two nights in a row, which meant we were sitting outside in the cold, and only until right before the fire department arrived did they bring us blankets. It was utter chaos, and nobody was there to help us. The breakfast was mediocre, considering the price of €90 for two people. The hotel is in a great location, but for the price point, I recommend other five-star hotels located in the same area. Overall, considering what I paid for the hotel, I am not happy with what I received. Next time I am in Vienna, I will stay elsewhere.

This just was not a 5 star experience. I stayed for a week and the service - particularly room service - was abysmal. I ordered room service for dinner a total of 4 times, and twice my order was "lost" resulting in delays of several hours. If I order dinner at 18:30, I don't want to be eating at 21:30. If it happens more than once, its not an accident -- its poor management. Frankly, the staff in some places was rude, too. The man in the suit running the breakfast service was terse and I dreaded him. The evening manager of the lobby bar was similarly unpleasant. When a hotel bills itself as a 5-star, luxury hotel, you expect a luxury experience. You're likely to find better service at a highway Marriott. The spa charged €170 for a 50 minute full body massage and I found the quality was not worth the cost. The Four Seasons charges less and offers far better spa service. Who came up with these prices? Not worth it. Better to run down the street to the Hyatt if you want a decent spa experience. The rooms had in-room, self-service tablets that didn't work half the time. Very frustrating to deal with. Every time someone in my corner of the 4th floor slammed a door, my walls and bed rattled. To its credit, the building is pretty and the lobby and hallways were charming. On balance, this was not a pleasant stay. It's a pretty building with 5-star prices but 3-star service and offerings. What a disappointing holiday.

Location was great and friendly staff. The rooms and carpeting needs upgrade. Mattresses are old with hard springs and very uncomfortable to sleep. Ownership needs to spend some money to make it look like 5 star.

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in (having stayed in many all across the world). The room was exceptional (thank you for the upgrade….!) and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The service , restaurants , location where excellent .The thing I didn't like was the towels in the room.They were clean and readily available , but were old and kind of worn out , I know it sounds trivial but for what we paid I think it should have been better.

The Hotel is in the center of the city, just a block away from the Opera house. Walking distance to all the sites I wanted to visit and also great shopping around.

The Hotel Grand Wien was truly pleasant surprise. The staff when you checked in were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious with many choices and an attentive staff. The hotels location is Perfect and we were able to walk anywhere from the hotel.

Hotel is very quiet, elegant, and in excellent location. Staff is very nice. A beautiful building with beautiful rooms. The reason for 3 stars is the breakfast. The breakfast room is way too small, cavernous, and does not have enough windows. People are squeezed together like sardines. A hotel of this caliber needs a much larger room for breakfast with plenty of light. Also, please let guests get coffe and milk by themselves without having to ask the busy waiters and wait for the waiters! I want to thank Leon at the concierge who was very helpful!!!

Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is in good central location and close to u-bahn and streetcar/tram. Room was cleaned well, and "OK", but not "great" value, for the price per night. The room was frankly a little "shabby" e.g. carpets need cleaning, fixtures and fittings passed their best, not a good look for a hotel billed as "Grand". Strange too was the need to indicate what room cleaning and bed linen changing frequency you wanted. Whilst this is couched as being eco friendly it is also a cost saving and profit maximising option too. The management, not the caring and friendly face to face staff, are responsible for the decisions connected to the more negative elements of this review. I paid for 5 stars and didn't feel I got anything more than a basic level of hotel accommodation for the money

This is one of the best hotels my wife and I have stayed in all our travels. It’s location couldn’t be better. It is 5 minute walk to Vienna Opera House and Musikverein. The famous Cafe Sacher is next to the opera house. Most important of all, the Billa supermarket is right in the basement of the hotel! The room is spacious and the staff is very courteous and efficient. We shall definitely return to Vienna and stay at the Grand!

The staff seems so unprofessional, with very small exceptions! We have been visiting this hotel several times before, the last time in 2018. The housekeeper forgot every time some towels. The breakfast atmosfere was like a cantina. I have spoted hair and flies on the food. The staff seemed untrained, overworked and very negligent dressed and hair style. Also there was a very rude lady. One day at 11:05 I have asked for a coffee and she has answered in a very rude manner, that it is after 11:00 and the coffee machine is about to be cleaned. I could understand that it was 2 minutes after the breakfast was closing, but still... there are many other ways to nicely deny a request from the paying guests. After this, even that we had the breakfast included, we have preferred not to go to back.
