Great Hotel in Convenient Location

Posted 19-Jul-2017
Pros: Convenient, clean, and reasonably priced.
Location: 15 minute walk to the ferries. Parliament building, BC Museum, Inner Harbour, and Empress Hotel, shops, and restaurants, all less than 10 minutes away
This hotel is walkable to many shops, restaurants, and downtown sites. The staff was helpful, the room was spacious, had lots of amenities, and very clean.

Great hotel near downtown

Posted 16-Jul-2017
Pros: Room size and amenities
Cons: The parking garage is a a maze with lots of dead ends.
The room was spacious. It has a well appointed kitchen: easy to make meals especially lunch and breakfast. Large patio that seats four was a welcome surprise. Great linens towels, bathrobes. We normally stay at the Fairmont but have also stayed at the Magnolia. This is a much larger room, by about three times I think. Families, people who want to eat in this is the place for you.

Love, Love, Love this Hotel

Posted 10-Jul-2017
Pros: I loved the location, the suite was a one bedroom with a king size bed, a balcony to sit out side. The kitchen was fully equiped with everything.
Cons: Nothing to improve that I can think of.
Location: It is very close to downtown, the BC Museum, the Bug Museum, the Wharf, Market on Yates. The list goes on.
From the time we opened our hotel door, we were thrilled about suite. Friendly staff, super good location. We had a suite that was modern, comfortable, and so pleasant to come back to at the end of a day of sightseeing. They have a movie room which is quite unique.

Great find in Victoria

Posted 04-Jul-2017
Pros: All the space!
Location: Great location for walking and checking out the city
Loved having so much space with 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms a kitchen a dining area and wonderful balcony. Dog friendly and great staff. There was a combo washer/dryer all in one that seemed a bit complicated. I highly recommend this modern hotel

The Parkside is in a great location.

Posted 06-Jun-2017
Pros: Comfortable rooms
Cons: Need proper dinning venues on site
Location: Right in downtown Victoria
The Parkside is in a great location. The rooms, staff and beautiful lobby/lounging areas were perfect. We upgraded for no extra charge upon arrival. However the on site food choices were not so perfect. Dinner in the Bistro was terrible from the service to the fish taco. The continental breakfast was ordinary should have been complimentary. May I suggest it's time for them to change out their jam and jellies. I opened one and it was so old it came out in one hard clump. Found a great place in Sidney the next morning for same price and fresh!!!

Great downtown location, beautiful lobby

Posted 03-Jun-2017
Pros: Stunning lobby. Great little cafe. Nice roof garden with quirky details like marshmallow roasting in the afternoons.
Cons: I like coffee as soon as I wake up, in my room. The supplied coffee was undrinkable, and Coffee Mate a major disappointment. Double fail.
Location: Museum and Parliament Buildings within 2 blocks. Harbour close by, lots of restaurants. We walked to the Victoria Public Market too.
Stayed just one night while attending an event at the Royal BC Museum nearby. Wish we'd had a whole weekend.

Pros: Fabulous lobby with beautiful serene setting. Fish ponds with Koi to watch and feed. Great for everyone but especially kids.
Cons: Choice of pillows. They're much too thick and don't let your head sink in to them.
These are great suites built originally as condos but not sold.
