Luxury of home in downtown Victoria

Posted 11-Jan-2017
We absolutely loved it here! All the amenities of home, with a luxurious feel, AND everything downtown is within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. This is our new home when we visit Victoria. If there was one thing I could find to complain about it would be that we really wished the pool/jacuzzi stayed open later than 10pm. It would've been nice to relax in the hot tub after our date night. Thanks again Parkside for an amazing stay!

Chose the hotel for its location

Posted 11-Jan-2017
Pros: Everything!
Location: Near Beacon Hill Park, the Royal BC Museum, Parliament buildings and everything in and around the inner harbour.
Chose the hotel because it was within walking distance of my destination in the Cook Street village area. The hotel is not in the fray of the shops and restaurants which is a bonus for me. When you enter the lobby, the calming effect of the pools, the tall windows, the comfortable chairs is immediate. You want to stay in the lobby to drink it all in. The room had everything I could need and more. The view from my window was the outdoor pools where I was entertained by the Koi. A great place to escape.

Beautiful hotel near downtown

Posted 11-Jan-2017
Pros: Modern, clean spacious rooms and lovely lobby with friendly staff
Cons: Room service for food or at least allow to bring a glass of wine from cafe up to your room.
My husband and I spent our anniversary here in a king suite. You are basically renting an updated beautiful apartment. Everything was nearly perfect ... I am only giving this 4 stars because they do not have room service for food or drinks. We wanted a night in so I went downstairs to order food (which was delicious but a very limited menu) however, I could not bring up a glass of wine or mixed drinks. We were able to order a "cheap" bottle of wine for $28... We opted not to. With a full kitchen in the room we decided to go to Whole Foods for wine and snacks for the remainder of our stay. If you have a car they have a nice garage to park in. We would recommend this place and would stay again.

Great stay and excellent help

Posted 30-Dec-2016
Pros: The entire hotel and services.
Cons: A couple of the front desk were a bit snippy. But, overall, staff were excellent.
Location: Location was excellent because we walked to everything downtown. We also loved the Butchard Gardens. Dining and the wharf were great!
We had a lovely family holiday at the Parkside. Accommodations and amenities were outstanding. We also had excellent help from the concierge, Brenda, when my husband's passport went missing for several days. Her support and professionalism were extraordinary. We would go back in a minute.

Comfortable & convenient one bedrm apartment suite

Posted 20-Dec-2016
Pros: Apartment like layout of rooms.
Cons: More friendly snack, drink shops in grand lobby would be nice.
Location: Perfect! Only a few blocks walk to Parliament Building, waterfront, Empress Hotel, shops and restaurants.
We have stayed here several times because the modern, clean, one bedroom apt suite has everything we desire. Easy to drive to, close walk to downtown Victoria, friendly and helpful staff and fair prices.

Anniversary Get Away

Posted 12-Dec-2016
We had two nights at the Parkside for our anniversary. It was a lovely room on a higher floor and the hotel is walking distance to so many of the Victoria sights. It was nice to have the kitchen for a light breakfast. The hotel left us a card, bottled water and chocolates to acknowledge our celebration. I would definitely stay here again.
