Nice hotel

Posted 17-May-2017
Pros: Location in downtown, comfortable bed, roomy room.
Cons: Adding plastic to trash cans in room. No complimentary coffee in lobby. Only one coffee serving in room. No tea available in room.
Location: Very good location for walking downtown.
Great room suite. Comfortable stay for three days. Parking fees too much on top of pricey hotel cost.

Perfect hotel for a long stay in Victoria, BC!

Posted 16-May-2017
Pros: The staff, the location and the hotel rooms were all top-notch.
Cons: It would have been nice to have the pool heated but we only tried to swim one day.
Location: Perfect location, close to everything but still very quiet.
We loved our stay at the Chateau. The room was huge so it worked out perfectly with our 8 month old baby to have his own sleeping area. The entire staff were very nice and accommodating. The Chateau is centrally located so you can walk to anything. I would definitely recommend it and will stay here again in the future.

Central.

Pros: The staff, and location.
Cons: Udate the bathroom!
Location: Right downtown. Museum, waterfront, theatres, lots of restaurants, shopping.
We had to be in town, so the location was ideal. We payed for the parking, and just left the car and walked everywhere. All levels of the staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed in the room as the bathroom was very dated, with a very uncomfortable straight backed bath. We had a higher end suite, so expected more than that. The bed was very comfortable with clean crisp sheets, and lots of pillow choices. Other than the bath situation, it was fine, and very clean.

Should have stayed elsewhere.

Posted 12-May-2017
Pros: Staff were pleasant.
My wife and I booked this hotel due to it's location, but realized there were plenty of other newer, nicer hotels near by. This is an old hotel. We stayed in room 411 which is beside the housekeepers storage room and Ice machine room. The room it's was small with a view of a building and parking lot. The bathroom is very small and it you're taller the 5'6" you will have issues with the shower. Didn't use the air conditioner, but it's one of those portable types. Above the 4th floor are rooms with balconies, they maybe better. Be booked this hotel to be able to walk around the downtown and thought this was the most reasonably price and centrally located. Everything is close we could and should have stayed elsewhere. One more thing, why would garbage trunks be picking up at 5:50 am?

Great Staff, Great Location

Posted 08-May-2017
Location: Walking distance to downtown Victoria (shopping and restaurants), 2 minute walk from Victoria Conference Centre.
Stayed here during Social Media Camp 2017 and initially chose it because of its location and price. Upon my arrival I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite (with a full kitchen) since it was my first time in Victoria. All of the staff I encountered here were fabulous and so so nice. I like to think I'm a pretty low-maintenance guest but everything I could've asked for was taken care of. The only thing I'll say is that my room was a little dark (lamps could've used some new light bulbs), but other than that my stay was fantastic. Can't speak to the amenities (pool, etc.) because I didn't use them.

Nice hotel close to downtown and major attractions

Posted 24-Apr-2017
Pros: It was comfortable and quiet. Within walking distance to most attractions.
Cons: Swimming pool was too deep for young children - 5 feet deep at the shallow end.
Location: Close to the harbour, the Empress Hotel, the legislature, the museum and horse and wagon rides and petting zoo.
We stayed in a room with a kitchen and separate bedroom that was great for our week stay. Our daughter and her family had an identical room next door so we could eat meals together. No harbour views from this hotel except from the Vista 18 top floor which serves food and drinks. Nice to go up there in the evenings.

Awesome hotel , close to shopping and museum, harbor and much more. One downfall poor menu choice but amazing view from roof top restaurant!
