very good location.

Pros: location
Cons: We were on the 6th floor and the elevator is quiet noisy, it makes sleeping in and afternoon naps difficult.
Location: Great location with a wide variety of restaurants, convenience stores and shopping nearby. walking distance to the water and many attractions.
The staff was nice and helpful, rooms were clean. Neighbourhood was clean and quiet

Pros: Inexpensive valet parking. I liked the fact you could text the front desk for anything.Would stay here again for sure.
Great location, close to the waterfront, easy walk to get there.

Nachtruhe schwierig, sonst ok

Hotel ist in Ordnung bezüglich Austattung und Lage. Auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Einziges Manko: schlafen kaum möglich, weil sehr viel Unruhe auf den Gängen und Diskothek in hörbarer Nähe.

Everything we needed near everywhere we went.

Posted 18-Jan-2016
Pros: Very pleasant and helpful staff. Convenient location for all of our wants and needs in Victoria.
I chose the Best Western Plus Carlton Plaza Hotel for this brief stay in Victoria based on two things; I have generally been happy with the comfort and service at other Best Western Plus hotels and the Carlton Plaza is located right where I wanted to be for my stay in Victoria. I was not disappointed.

Wonderful experience in the downtown Victoria area

Posted 12-Jan-2016
Pull up to the front of the building park in their designated area. They take care of your car for you they will park it and have it back to you when you need it! The staff is very well-trained, very knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly. My personal favorite restaurant is at the bottom of Johnston Street turn left into a little alleyway, it is called Il Terrazzo. Do not be on a diet when you go there. Nighttime was very nice to look at the lights of the parliament building across the water and watch the sunset, very beautiful, very picturesque, very memorable.

Cons: clear instructions for the remote thermostat would be nice.
stayed three nights for business. I had a suite with kitchen on the seventh floor. Much nicer than expected. Amazing value. The person who cleaned my room was wonderful.

One of best hotel beds ever

Posted 04-Jan-2016
One of best hotel beds ever, a nicely reno'd suite in general, competent staff, good location = great place to stay - IF you need to get up early! At 630 am the City of Victoria allows garbage trucks to empty dumpsters anywhere they want to, including across the street from the hotel, who has to this point been unable to do anything about it (the "you can't fight city hall" syndrome). IT IS VERY LOUD. Surely the City realizes how dependent their economy is on tourists; I suppose more of us need to register complaints about this situation not with Expedia, but with the City of Victoria. 630 am for loud noise being allowed in the vicinity of tourist hotels IS RIDICULOUS! Guests paying to sleep in the city's hotels, i.e. supporters of the region's economy, should not be required to tolerate early wake-up at such an unreasonable hour; the City of Victoria needs to rethink this.
