The staff are friendly and housekeeping works extremely hard to keep the rooms clean. There’s an SUV that has clearly been broken into that sits at the parking lot entrance and it has been there for months. The room keys only work for a day so you have to get a new one every day so if you leave in the morning you should just get the key replaced so you don’t have to go all the way up to your room with dinner later only to find out that you are locked out. You will have to go all the way back down again.

Always a pleasant predictable stay

2nd time at the Kissel. Overall the hotel is nice and clean. A smaller 7 floor hotel which I like with a restaurant in the lobby that has limited hours. The rooms are nice and clean and well appointed. One of the recommendations I have for the Kissel is the staff are not as pleasant as one expect from the Hyatt. When I was checking out the front desk person asked me if I was someone else when the bill clearly said my name that was put under my door that I gave to him. He also checked me in and repeated my name over and over and was very pleasant the evening before. Maybe he was having a bad day....the valet was no where to be found when we got there and we parked the car on the street and then when we went to check in he was at the front desk talking to his coworker. Speaking of parking its 65.00! They charge tax on it of $11.00.
