The staff was extremely welcoming. The hotel was very clean and we slept so well. Plus, there is security around all the time making one feel safe. I am definitely coming back to this hotel!

We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet it’s been one of the Best breakfast buffet ever the only downside is that I didn’t get the room I pay for instead I got a smaller room with two beds instead of the King size bed room with a better ocean view.

This lodging is fantastic. However, I encountered an issue post-stay when seeking a refund for one night due to accidental date overlap. Despite being entitled to a refund, Expedia's attempts to facilitate were ignored by the hotel. Consequently, I never received the $157.00 Canadian refund.

My family and I enjoyed it. Our rooms had beautiful views. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our cleaning lady was okay. It looked like she just did our bed and got new towels. We tried using the TV but everything was in Spanish and no one knew what channels coverted to English. I tried multiple channels and nothing converted. As for food, the buffet was expensive. Breakfast buffet was good but dinner buffet was okay. Not for those prices. Overall, it was a nice hotel. We would consider staying here again.

This property is right in front of the harbor. It has amazing views. Very comfortable rooms with comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is delicious. The staff is amazing. They are so helpful and attentive. I will definitely return.

Everything about it was wonderful! The staff were fantastic! Antonio the front desk manager helped me out when I made mistakes with my Expedia booking as well Rodrigo at the front desk was exceptional! I plan on coming back to this hotel again

My only concern was the toilet sound when flushed, it’s sounded like a ship horn. Make sure to include the breakfast if needed when booking, or you will be paying a lot more money at the restaurant

Ive been to Veracruz many times and never stayed at Emporio. We had the pleasure of it, this trip. Everyone was great and it is perfect. Dont waste your time or $$ elsewhere. Thank you from your Texas friends, Grandpa is home forever now.

The hotel is well located, nice installations but locks staff members, therefore lock of service at pool areas, and spa staff consists of 2 persons only, I was never able to make an appointment for a massage, tried twice but did not succeed, for a well know and reputable hotel that is part of the port traditions, they should offer better service

The staff is really friendly, the restaurant offers traditional meals from Veracruz and the breakfast buffet is a fantastic way to start the day, it includes great "antojitos" and freshly baked bread. Our room was cozy, we were facing the Mercado de Artesanias, it was nice to see the palm trees and people enjoy their days. The hotel is located next to a bus stop, so if you're willing to step out of your comfort zone you can ride different buses that bring you to different tourist destinations in Veracruz and even a bit further in Boca del Rio; keep in mind this is a local bus top so no tour guides or anything. In the end, Emporio Hotel is a nice place to stay, walking distance to everything in dowtown Veracruz, including Mercado Hidalgo, Portales, and if you're into hiking you can walkt to the Acuario via the Malecon.

Good points - location, breakfast, comfy beds, hairdryer and pool. Bad points - the shower was very weak. The safe was on the top shelf of the wardrobe so I could hardly reach it and I definitely couldn’t see what i had put in it.
