Tiny rooms

Posted 06-Jun-2017
I don't know what kind of lens they used when photographing these rooms but our room was TINY. The bathroom you couldn't even stretch your arms out without touching the walls. There was no shower pan just the floor and a curtain so water got all over the floor each time you showered and you had to use all your towels to dry it up. Room was hot and humid, we were both uncomfortable the four days we were there could not get cool. We are at the Pallazetta Modonna now and it's much superior room is spacious and air is working nice. Wish we had come here sooner! I would NOT recommend San Moise Hotel to anyone.

Hotel San Moise

Posted 07-Apr-2017
Pros: A perfect little hotel
Location: The next street from the Fenice Theatre
The hotel was perfect. Friendly staff, beautifully decorated with Morano glass chandeliers. Our family room overlooked the water, breathtaking views. The breakfast was all we needed again with a wonderful view, eggs, bacon, toast, croissants and cheese and ham. Coffee and various teas. The reception staff managed to secure us tickets to the opera. We were within three minutes walk of St Marks Square and many shops and restaurants. The courtyard was stunning a great place to take a breath and smell the wisteria. We can't wait to go back. Don't miss this Venician gem.

Perfect location

Posted 04-Apr-2017
Hotel is very well situated in a quiet street just next to San Marco square. Got a family room 102 with mezzanine on the 1St night, very unusual layout but extremely hot, heating stuck at 27 degres. We could not sleep so we asked to change and moved to room 101 fantastic family room (red one on the website pictures) with patio view really nice and spacious. Unfortunately I got bed bug bites all over next day! Breakfast is simple but nice, overall I would go there again I loved the location and the reception staff were friendly.

Nice hotel

Great little hotel. Nice views from the window of my room. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room and bathroom were nice and clean. Only one complaint was the bed want very comfortable, but I've found that to be common in hotels in Italy. Good breakfast as well.

The Italian Job? No! The full Venetian Job!

Posted 09-Oct-2016
Pros: Our whole stay.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: This is c 200m from St Marks, so is central. Things to do? This is Venice! Do some reseaqrch, get a decent guide book and read, then visit
This is why we come to Venice; and this is should be why all visitors come to Venice: this hotel is the essence of all that is meant in the 21st century by "Serenìsima Repùblica Vèneta". This hotel ticks all the boxes.Of course it's not one of you anonymous international "hotels" - it is a Venetian hotel and all the better for it. It provides all that it says it will; great breakfasts (continental through to all but the full English; fruits and juices, pastries and croissants, eggs bacon and sausage, toast and butter; cheeses and salami, jams and honey, tea coffee and a fine espresso, plus spirits [Caffè corretto, anyone?]). A superb location, excellent staff (concierge, porterage, maid service, etc.) both attentive and friendly, great historical and cultural ambience ... and all at a reasonable tariff. This is what brings us back twice a year for the past four years after initiallly being a return after exactly a 50-year absence. Bellisima!

Great Location!

Posted 26-Sep-2016
This property is in a fabulous location! Easy to get to and very quiet considering the thousands of people that visit Venice! Rooms were small but clean. The breakfast area has an amazing view of the canal and breakfast had an excellent choice! the courtyard is a perfect area it's just a shame the hotel doesn't use it better. Some music or light refreshments or even having breakfast out there would have been great. We made full use of it as we bought our own drinks and played cards every night. Other guests looked like they would have liked to join! Cannot fault this property! You wouldn't regret staying here! Considering the prices in Vencive and some property locations Hotel San Moise is perfect! Thank you for our breakfast boxes on our last morning- great touch!
