However, our room had a broken or non-working AC, and I got bitten by mosquitoes several times — about ten bites just on my hand — which I’m pretty sure made me sick for the next two days. The staff were amazing though; they helped me recover my lost bag after the airport misplaced it. The TV was oddly off-center and playing some random 90s history channel in German (or maybe Italian). The sea view was nice but unbearably hot in the morning with the sun rise! The hotel's location in Lido is quiet and relaxing, with considerably fewer people around. I would say that the bar is somewhat over-priced (perhaps this is a Venice issue), but I had cheaper drinking in other hotels on my trip. The hotel's restaurant was good, and reasonably-priced (we had pizza). Our room, however, it was on the first floor and it was actually for disabled people. So the shower just had a small strip separating that between the sink. The toilet was half in the shower.
