Old building (it is Venice, you should expect that) long stairs up. Nice place, with a hard to beat location. We LOVED being so close to everything, we did walk everywhere and a ton, but still, being in such a nice spot was absolutely great, good food options around, literally blocks from the boat that came from the airport, felt nice, safe, wonderful. The room was on the smaller side, but kind of expected, too. Looks nice and has personality. While it is not super old and it was nice and clean, it somehow felt strange. Not dirty or anything, nor run down, but probably the mix of size, design elements or something made it feel smaller/not as nice as it could have been. Overall a nice option if you don't mind the stairs and those details, and a great option of you want to be in the middle of everything. An extra detail, at least in our room, the bath was nice, clean, etc... but the bath tub was on the high side, definitely higher than average, so if your age or physical situation can be an issue and you have specific needs, keep that in mind. It was sometimes hard to go out of it... (and it was a bit slippery, I'd recommend the hotel if they are reading this, to put some stickers to fix that). Don't get us wrong, all in all, we loved this option and it was great for what we needed and wanted. Just details, and mentioning them, in case that helps others. (Oh, while we did not use it cause it was a bit cold, there is also a small terrace that felt like a nice thing, too.)
