Good hotel to stay

Posted 02-Dec-2016
We had a very good stay at this hotel. I was with my family and we were four of us and the bedding provided to us was excellent and the staff was so kind to give us the best tips to go around Venice with a map in hand. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Wish to again stay in this hotel during my next trip

Good hotel in a good location

Posted 01-Dec-2016
Pros: The helpful and pleasant staff.
Location: Good, central location within walking distance of St Marc's, The Rialto, L'Accademia etc.
This is a friendly and welcoming hotel, away from some of the noisier quarters yet still very central for visiting many of the main sites.

Small and intimate hotel, perfect to get about.

We paid to upgrade and we were not disappointed. If you are in Venice for a special occasion I recommend the Dragomanni suite!!

Charming small family hotel

Posted 26-Nov-2016
Located in quiet area but within a few minutes walk of San Marco and the Academia Bridge for access to the lovely Dorsoduro area. I didn't want the overdone slick 'shmoosyness' of an expensive hotel and there was nothing false about the Hotel Dragomanni - it gave a friendly, honest service. My comfortable (double) room and bathroom was not large (usual for Venice) but very adequately sized and had bags of character. It overlooked the Grand Canal, opposite the Peggy Guggenheim house, from a lovely little terrace - wonderful for relaxing and watching the boats go by. It was just delightful.

Schönes Hotel in der Nähe vieler Sehenwürdigkeiten

Posted 21-Nov-2016
Pros: Schönes Bad mit Handtuch wärmer. Weiche Betten. Guter Service.

Excellent location, rooms need updating. 3 stars

Posted 16-Nov-2016
Pros: Very good location, close to San Marco Plazza, the staff were great, continental breakfast good. That staff was helpful with directions were to go and see things.
Cons: The room needs updating, old decor. We stayed in room 27, as we had the kids with us. Our queen size bed was made of 2 beds.....not a great sleeping experience, especially after we missed our flight and instead on staying 2 nights , we only slept there 1 night. The chairs in the hall (sitting area) were not the cleanest, so uncomfortable to sit on when you know they are not right. In the bathroom, they have their own Dei Dragomanni wash/shower bottles, which I thought it was nice, but expected in a 4star hotel. They had some luxurious bubble bath.... so thought will take a bath........but to my disappointment the pop up waste didn't work, so instead had to have a shower. Very very disappointed, they say to ring the reception if you have any probs, but didn't feel like doing so at 11pm, especially with the children being asleep. An inconvenience after all, it should of been there ready for me to enjoy. Also the bath had some strips where the silicon has gone mouldy........not a great experience for me. The velux window in the bathroom didn't work properly. In the bedroom just above our bed we had a velux window, which is great during the day, but annoying when you get woken up by the sunlight as the blind that was fitted , was only half way down and it was broken, not good when you plan a lie in. After all it was a weekend away for our 10th wedding anniversary, and wanted for our stay to be special. It was ok, but disappointed. I would rate it 3 star.
Location: There is the San Marco Piazza close by, .....on the right hand alley there is a small ice cream shop......the best ice cream in Venice
