A beautiful hotel located on a quiet side canal. The courtyard was a peaceful and serene hideaway, perfect for an afternoon Prosecco. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately we were too busy to enjoy the spa, but it looked beautiful as well.

An absolute gem. About 25 mins walk from St Marks Square, this a wonderful boutique hotel; a secluded garden for breakfast or an evening cocktail, with absolute tranquility away from the hustle & bustle of Venice. Staff were fantastic, from check-in to departure. Arranged eateries taxis, restaurant recommendations, free trip to Murano glass works; they couldn’t have been more helpful. Rooms were pristine in cleanliness and well maintained. Bathrooms elegant and again spotless. I’d definitely choose to stay here again. Wonderful hotel.

Wonderful stay. Loved the room. The breakfast was fantastic every morning. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. I don't know when I will be back in Venice, but I would book here again without a second thought.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Excess. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden where we could hear the birds along with the church bells. Lorenzo assisted us with a delicious breakfast each day. We would definitely go back.

Beautiful hotel, walkable, and kind helpful staff. We loved the breakfast and how fresh it was too. My only complaint is that each room doesn’t have its own tempature controls so we were often hot in our room and the spa doesn’t offer any services such as massage, facial, etc.

This is a dream property for those seeking a romantic, local Venice experience! We were treated like royalty from arrival to departure. Location wise, this hotel is a 12 min walk from the bus stop & around a 20 min walk to central Venice - making it easy to get around. The hotel was decorated in a Venetian style but not overdone like some hotels. The room was very clean (which is super important to me). We had a great experience. The only thing I would say to the hotel for constructive criticism is we thought the hotel booking allowed us to have access to the spa but it didn’t and it was €30pp for 2 hours which feels a tad expensive.

The neighborhood is great bc it is not as jam packed with tourists but within walking distance to everything. The hotel is quirky & I loved this about it! Not stale like a chain hotel & not trying too hard to be hip. There is a lovely garden space & a nice restaurant for your morning coffee or breakfast. The staff is friendly & helpful. I highly recommend having a drink at their very small but very charming bar,
