"There is a complete misrepresentation about on site parking. There are paid lots near by, but up to you to secure a spot. The lot that “they recommended” doesn’t even do overnight parking. Additionally, the apartment was not clean upon arrival. The shower drain did not drain properly — we take quick showers, yet we were left standing in inches of water, and it took all night for the water to fully drain. This is unacceptable. "I have been a guest at the Caribe Hilton several times. My first stay there was over 20 years ago as my children were young. I still find some of the staff that worked there then. Things have definitely changed, but let’s start with the positives: dining is top notch and guest service staff as well. The beach, garden and outdoors were immaculate and breathtaking. My recent stay, however, left me wondering if I’ll return. The prices per night have skyrocketed (I dont lnow how they can legally rack up so many fees!). Our stay without food was over $900 a night. The rooms are decaying to the point that the mattress had his and hers sulci… lol! Housekeeping staff is essentially absent; I asked for towels on my second day and these never arrived. We had to take the trash to the lobby and add it to and already overflowing bin at the lobby of the Wave wing. Five hours later, we returned to the wing and the trash bin had turned into piles. Not once I was offered a room cleaning, even when I inquired about it, They said sure but no one showed up. The toiletries on the largebottles smelled rancid. The security person at the pool on day 3 of my stay was speaking on his cell phone and ranting obscenities in Spanish… not pleasant to hear and no one to supervise… the place is in skeleton crew and staff looks super overworked particularly at Nectar during morning hours. Overall, I felt as if I was staying at an overpriced air bnb. They should broadcast it as such. "

"Location is excellent for walking around old town. The hotel is clean and the staff very helpful. Amenities are limited. It would be nice if there was a coffee maker in the room. My recommendation is this: do NOT stay in any room that overlooks the street. You will not sleep due to the street noises. People party hard in Old San Juan and they carry the party into the streets when the bars close. Also, traffic is heavy during peak season and many are booming their music. We also endured a lot of construction vehicles and work being done on the property across from us (they started around 5am) We were in room 22; a lovely room, but the “windows” overlooking the street have wooden doors which offer no sound-proofing. So, if you want to sleep, insist on an inside room away from the street. Hope this helps. Old San Juan is worth seeing!"

"I recently stayed at the San Juan Marriott Stellaris Hotel & Casino and would give it an overall rating of three stars. It’s a solid property in a great location, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what kind of experience you’re looking for. The hotel advertises a children’s pool, which naturally led me to believe there would also be a separate adults-only pool. That isn’t the case. While there are two pools, they connect, and the entire area is open to guests of all ages. If you’re expecting a quiet adults-only space, you won’t find one here. The overall vibe is lively and social rather than serene. There is also a swim-up bar where guests gathered for activities like bingo, which actually looked like a lot of fun and added to the energetic atmosphere. The atmosphere felt more lively and party-oriented, especially in the afternoons when the music becomes extremely loud — louder than necessary, in my opinion. On the positive side, the beach setup was very nice. Staff members help you set up chairs, towels, umbrellas, and a small table wherever you’d like along the beach, which was a lovely touch and made the experience feel more upscale. The room itself was a decent size and perfectly fine, though nothing particularly special. There were a couple of maintenance issues: the sliding bathroom door was difficult to operate and actually came off its track at one point (though to their credit, maintenance fixed it very quickly).
