"I had a great stay at LVG Hotel in Bergamo. The location was extremely convenient and made it very easy to get around the area.
What really stood out was the level of service from the front desk and housekeeping staff. The front desk was always friendly, helpful, and accommodating whenever I needed assistance. Daily housekeeping was also excellent. No matter what time of day I left my room or needed it attended to, the housekeeping team always made the effort to accommodate my schedule and...

Lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable room, we had a lovely view of the river and mountains, the beds and pillows were very comfortable also. There was a fridge in the room, a large flat screen TV, and the shower was good with hot water any time of the day.
The breakfast was amazing with everything and more included, continental but you would not think so with eggs, bacon, sausage cooked meats, cheeses, freshly baked rolls, cereals, not to mention all the pastries and cakes and panacotta...

Set on the banks of Lake di Annone this superb hotel was just what we needed. Quiet, exclusive & with amazing service.
We had a signature suite, so we had a hot tub with a huge wrap around balcony. Our super king size bed overlooked the lake with double aspect windows, which was wonderful to wake up to.
The staff were very friendly, helpful & accommodating.
We ate in the Michelin* restaurant in the hotel. We booked our room very last minute & so initially they said they couldn’t fit us in...

The residence is around 25–30 minutes above Lecco and offers stunning scenery, peaceful surroundings, friendly staff, and a freshly cooked breakfast made to order. The online reviews are accurate, and both the hotel and previous guests strongly recommend travelling by car, as taxis can cost €35–45 each way and many firms are reluctant to travel up to the property. Returning after a day exploring the area and watching the sunset from high above was truly relaxing.

The hotel is well sign posted.
There is an underground garage (7 Euros a day) which has electric charging points. There are free parking spaces nearby but as we needed charges we used the car park
The rooms were well equipped with very comfortable bed, tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge.
Breakfast was buffet style with hot choices of eggs (boiled & scrambled) and bacon. Cold choices of meats, cheeses, cereals, yoghurts and pastries.

The hotel is excellent - our only problem (and it is quite a major one) is that it was not easy to find. We could not find geographical co-ordinates on its website and the small lane it is in was not known to our Garmin satnav. But having found the hotel we were fully satisfied

Great place to stay for a short break. Easy to get the the lakes-Como,Milano & Bergamo. Monza itself is so lovely & laid back. Don't miss the Royal Palace & its grounds right opposite. Minutes on the train to Milan, for a visit and some shopping! Hotel staff are just amazing, nothing is too much trouble. So friendly, great breakfast, would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable hotel, close to centre. Friendly efficient service and much better than average hotel breakfast. Rooms are individually furnished. Large bathroom with too complicated shower. Would stay again.

The best area to stay in Valgreghentino is typically in the main village centre or the small hamlets immediately surrounding it.
The village centre of Valgreghentino itself offers a convenient base. While it's a smaller community, you'll find the local church, a few shops, and traditional eateries within easy walking distance. This area provides a genuine experience of Lombard village life and is well-connected for exploring the wider region.
For couples seeking a tranquil retreat, staying in one of the small hamlets just outside the main village, such as Dozio or Biglio, is an excellent choice. These areas are located in the hills, offering more secluded accommodation, often with picturesque views of the surrounding countryside and the nearby Lake Annone.
When is the best time to go to Valgreghentino?
The best time to go to Valgreghentino is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.
These periods offer pleasant weather, with mild temperatures and less rainfall, making them ideal for outdoor activities and exploring the natural beauty of the Lombardy region. You'll find the landscape lush in spring and beautifully coloured in autumn.
Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will appreciate the tranquil atmosphere during these seasons. You can enjoy strolls through the countryside, visit local villages, and dine alfresco without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. It's a great time for experiencing the local culture and cuisine at a leisurely pace.
Travellers interested in hiking and cycling will find spring and autumn great for tackling the trails around Valgreghentino and Lake Como. The cooler temperatures make physical activity more comfortable, and the natural scenery is at its most appealing.
