"My husband and I enjoyed a week in Mill Barn in early June. Unfortunately the weather didn't want to play along so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful garden as much as I had hoped, but that was no loss - the cottage is adorable inside too and it's perfect for cozy cocooning when it's rainy. "If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. "The potting shed is definitely a hidden gem, its little but had everything we needed, it was spotless with a lovely garden for our dog to explore. The twin baths outside were a really nice way to unwind after a day sightseeing and there’s plenty of dog friendly restaurants locally.
