One of Eastern Canada’s newest cities is captivating with stylish shopping, parks, outdoor social spaces, fine dining and art galleries.

Mississauga City Centre, one of the newest cities in eastern Canada, has an energetic, yet sophisticated atmosphere. Visit this lively city and see why many young professionals are making it their home. Explore the impressive shopping centre, buy local produce at farmers markets or hike through one of the nature parks.

The Square One Shopping Centre in downtown Mississauga is one of the largest retail complexes in Ontario. More than 300 stores offer an array of goods and services, including fashion, household furnishings and electronics. In the warmer months, find local farmers markets in the parking lot. For more retail choices, head to one of the three other major shopping malls: Heartland Town Centre, Erin Mills Town Centre and Dixie Outlet Mall.

Next to Square One is the open-air Celebration Square. In the summer, relax on the lawn or in the outdoor café. Watch a free live concert and play with the interactive water feature. In winter, don a pair of skates and try out your skills on the outdoor ice-skating rink.

Mississauga City Centre offers many parks, woodlands and heritage sites to explore. Stroll along the Erindale Park trails, bring a picnic and settle in for the afternoon. Other nature parks include the Jack Darling Memorial Park, Kariya Park and Lake Aquitaine Park.

Admire classical and contemporary artworks at the Art Gallery of Mississauga and the Hershey Centre. Watch a show at the Living Arts Centre and visit the City Hall to look over Celebration Square. In the evening, dine in one of the many fine restaurants or head to one of Mississauga’s clubs for a cocktail.

Mississauga City Centre is on the western border of Toronto, easily accessible by bus or train. It is a 30-minute drive from downtown Toronto and a 15-minute drive from Toronto Pearson Airport.
