Then cook out on the grill, sit on our log chairs on the deck and listen to nature make it's way into the night. Hike along the dirt roads and trails and you could see a deer. Nearby is white water rafting, my son and myself had a blast! Then we went gem mining and found some great gems. All in all it's a unique experience that adults and kids will enjoy and remember for a lifetime! What are you waiting for? It was beautiful the view of the cabin, the view from the cabin, inside of the cabin was very clean just amazing. The beds very so comfortable I have not slept on a more comfortable mattress in a while. Each room had their own private bathroom even the room for the kids. We just got home from a week at the Cabin. None of us wanted to go home, the cabin was perfect. We even spent extra days just at the cabin and enjoying the Lake. Greg gave us very detailed instructions and answered any questions we had promptly! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed and then some. The internet was a little slow, but we were just happy to have internet in the Mountains. We had a couple beautiful mountain storms come through. The lake is gorgeous. We took advantage of the kayaks and fire pit. The space was perfect for us with our 17 year old daughter and 9 year old son. They each had their own room which they loved. The view of the lake from every room and each balcony and the hot tub is perfection! We left a couple of times and went into Murphy for the River Walk and then Highlands for some shopping and lunch. We spent Thanksgiving week at Serenity Cove. Our teen and young adult family members and their parents really enjoyed kayaking and exploring a small island in the lake. The fire pit was a big hit as well. Day trips to hike, and see waterfalls were fun even in the cold weather. I am sure the view from the decks at this lake house are beautiful year round. The kayaks and paddle boards were MUCH appreciated. Views from the decks were one-of-a-kind, and the night sky totally captivating. The water is very clear and clean, and the fire pit was a nice touch and use of the outdoor space. I will note that for anyone with knee issues, this is probably not the easiest location for mobility, so please read through other reviews before determining if this is the right property for you. The property manager was very responsive, and provided helpful insight regarding our route to the cabin -- which would have had us on the Tail of the Dragon after a long day of travel (we did take this route back home, and while challenging, it was an awesome experience). ##### Victoria S. The cabin was just what I wanted for my girlfriend’s 40th birthday get away. You are about 15 mins from a main road. You overlook the lake and at night it is just the sound of nature. We had some issues that the owner took care of promptly and we had great communication. Probably the cleanest VRBO/home stay I have had in a very long time. So many times it seems like the cleaning fee is an excuse to get extra money but in this place you can tell it is put to use. Things to know: Verizon service was 0\. The WiFi is satellite so there are restrictions on downloads and streaming. I was able to work from the cabin over VPN but Teams meetings was a bit sketchy. The cabin is 1.5miles down a dirt road which if you have a low car can take some effort. The driveway is steep and cars will need some speed to get up it but we have a Malibu and I never worried it wasn’t going to make it after the first time. I highly recommend downloading the map of the area on Google. Take your time and read the road signs don’t rely completely on GPS. ##### Brent S.
