No 4 Wheel Drive needed here - we have year round easy access! We are located 100 yards up a gentle gravel incline road off scenic Wayah Road, a paved, state maintained, road. The seclusion of this mountain retreat with hot tub and amazing views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains make this home a great spot for gathering friends and family. This log cabin sleeps 8 in luxury bedding: king master bedroom on the main level, 2 queen bedrooms with spectacular views on the lower level, and queen bed in the open loft with breathtaking lake views. (One of the cleanest and not over chlorinated hot tubs we’ve ever encountered at other rentals). Kathy was super communicative and very clear with all instructions. View from porches is amazing. Family greatly enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Kitchen well equipped. Owner reached out during stay about pending storms moving through area which was greatly appreciated. My only advice for owner is to consider an emergency weather radio because if power is lost renters have no way to stay weather-aware and there may be renters not used to severe storm season. Other than that, we visited off-season and the small store nearby was closed for season. Just plan accordingly. The photos could never do it justice, it is the most beautiful cabin we have ever seen and we cannot even describe the VIEW. We got lucky with sporadic periods of rain that made the mountains extra “smoky” and everything looked surreal! The inside of the home was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The drive up to the cabin is well maintained and does not require AWD, we were able to drive up and down even with the rain in our FWD vehicle with no issues. We wanted to be close. Can't get much closer than this property. Very clean, well appointed, and failry easy access. Ample.parking once up the hill. No cell coverage and the internet is spotty. People like this are hard to come by nowadays. Everything was clean, neat and in order! Everything that you needed was already in the Vrbo description so it was very helpful! The view was phenomenal, the lower and upper decks were absolutely stunning, the firepit area was perfect. The private dock right down the street was great and everybody enjoyed it. If you have younger kids coming to this property, just be aware that the driveway and drop off by the drive is only divided by a small wooden fence, so you have to make sure kids are watched at ALL TIMES. I searched from the house and the venue with no luck. The view is beautiful. Great view of the lake. The house itself is ok. But I’m giving an honest review. Furniture is very outdated and doesn’t fill clean. Master bedroom is in the back of the house with no view. Parking area is adequate. The road up to the house is steep and very uneven. The neighbors ran off the road and got stuck in front of our house. You have to turn around in the parking area to get out. There is no backing out without it being treacherous. I drive a 2500 had and it’s a six point turn around with one other car parked. The dock itself is in really good shape. Needs the name of the dock facing the water for pontoon boat delivery. The one car parking area for the dock is that, for a mid to smaller vehicle. I could not park my truck there without being stuck out in the road. Also, part of the parking area at the dock has collapsed into the water. I was very disappointed with that. The two rooms downstairs were good and the loft was good and all had good views of the lake. Back to the dock, there is absolutely no safe way to walk to the dock and it’s every bit of the quarter mile. The air works great. The carpet needs to be replaced. It’s coming apart in the living room. I’m not saying don’t rent this, just know what you’re getting. Kathy, the host was very nice and very responsive. ##### Rory R.
