We have a kayak that you can use, and/or you can also bring your boat or rent one from one of the marinas on the lake (rentals are seasonal)! \- Boathouse to store your lake toys when not in use, as well as items that we provide for use during your stay (kayak oars, life vests, etc.) You can reach us here via the app or phone, text, or email. We will also give you the phone number of our manager, who lives just down the street, for emergencies. Our home is in a gated community in a remote area, which is part of what people love about it! We live about 1/4 mile down a well-maintained gravel road. There is no public transportation, so you will need your vehicle to get around. There are also lots of fire roads and places to explore if you have an off-road vehicle or ATV. Communication: We have high-speed, low-latency satellite internet and whole-home Wi-Fi, which is suitable for work from home, Wifi calling, video conferencing, streaming video, etc. There is NO cell service in the area. We have cordless phones throughout the house for your use (unlimited long-distance calling included), plus Wi-Fi calling if your cell phone supports it. We come to this lake every summer, and we like to stay at different locations each time to enjoy the breath taking views of lake Nantahala, but I think we may have just come back to this particular lake house. I loved the double porches with views of the lake and the spacious bedrooms and comfy beds. The homeowners were so welcoming and went beyond to make sure we had any questions answered. The hosts are great with excellent and thorough communication. They seem like genuinely nice people and offered a free night’s stay (unfortunately we couldn’t come early) in addition to what we booked just because the house was open that night! Very nice house that was quiet and the lake itself is cool in the summer and not overpopulated. We rented a boat from a local marina that was delivered to the dock directly. This lake house was exactly what we had hoped for! The view was absolutely spectacular! The peacefulness and beauty of Lake Nantahala is everything we had hoped for. We were able to prepare several enjoyable meals in a well-stocked kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable. The gas fireplace was particularly appreciated during this year’s first cold snap. Louis and Robynn were very welcoming, attentive and responsive. We plan on returning next year!
