The road to get there is not for the faint of heart. Be prepared for the curvy roads and the very narrow driveway to get to the house. It was well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay! The beds were very comfortable and everyone slept great. We rented a pontoon at Lakes End Marine which is about 20 minutes away. Nantahala Lake was beautiful! The property is a bit far from any grocery store so make sure you have the provisions you need for a few days before having to head into town to restock. The owner knew we were arriving late in the evening and had the home lit up for our arrival. The home is really well appointed with great bedding, towels, and household supplies. There were a few improvements underway during our stay, but nothing that impacted our ability to enjoy the property. The home has plenty of space, comfy nooks, and amazing lake access. The neighborhood is lovely and gated so walking was easy and safe around the community. Mike the property owner was so helpful and communicative. He was engaged to ensure we had what we needed and that our stay was excellent. We really felt he was opening his home to us.
