This was probably the funnest lodging my friends and I stayed in, it’s a very unconventional room layout with the loft and the couch bed and as really cool and the staff was super nice and convenient with answers to questions. Highly recommend staying here if you stay in Otsuka or just need a nice place at an affordable price.

This hotel is over rated, it is unclean and the service is below par. Basics such as luggage storage, slippers are not provided, even upon requested was rejected for luggage storage for 1 night. I ended up booked the extra night just to keep our luggages in the room when we headed to Mount Fuji. The double deck design is interesting but not practical, even for our family that are fairly short, we almost hit our head every time and the upper level is difficult to get it and out without hitting once or twice. I will definitely avoid this hotel!!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The layout of the YAGURA room was really cool. I've never seen a hotel room like this before, and it utilized the space really well. With two mattresses in the upstairs loft area and a large day bed in the main area, this was perfect for our group of three. The front desk staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, answering all of our questions and assisting in shipping our luggage to our next destination in Kyoto. Breakfast was delicious, with several different options that can cater to any taste. The kitchen staff were also really friendly! The only minor complaint that I have is the laundry area. There are only two washers and dryers, and they get full quickly at night. We had to wait in the small room to ensure that we got our clothes washed (it didn't help that one rude guest left their clothes in the washer for over half an hour). If you need to do laundry, I recommend doing it in the middle of the day if possible, since most of your fellow tourists will be out and about. Other than that, everything else was fantastic. Would be delighted to stay here again in the future. Thank you for taking good care of us!

We really enjoyed our stay at the OMO5, the location is fantastic easy access to the station and plenty of dining options around. The laundry in the building was super helpful. The only issues we had was navigating the stairs from the bedroom down to the bathroom at night are super sketchy. We were far too jet lagged to handle that safely.

By far our favourite hotel in Japan. The lobby areas are relaxing, the staff had good english and were really helpful. The rooms are brilliant, the amazing design means you have living and sleeping space which when travelling as a family was a huge bonus. Can't recommend enough

Good value hotel in convenient location
Good value hotel in a convenient location very close to Otsuka station. The room was clean, modern and well-designed and makes clever use of space. Disappointing that although there is a kettle in the room no tea or coffee are provided. The split-level arrangement in which the sleeping platform is directly above the living area and accessed by a short flight of steps may not work for people who are tall or have mobility problems. Good breakfasts including a western-style option.

Extremely trendy hotel that is also a cool place to hang out instead of just sleeping in. Feels nice to have a little walking space inside your room and the 2 min walk from a major train station on the Yamanote line while being out of the way of station traffic is amazing.

Amazing experience
The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The space is small but the design makes it feel big. This was a gem off the beaten path. It was fun exploring the local restaurants in the neighborhood. We enjoyed our ranger tour as well. The hotel is also very convenient to the JR line and very easy to get around. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Having high hopes as this is run by the infamous Hoshino resort we were left with some disappointments. Our luggage was not already in our room when we used the luggage forwarding service, in our previous experience when staying with other Japanese hotels the luggage are always already in the room waiting for us. Amenities were minimum and you would need to pretty much pay for everything which are otherwise free at any other Japanese hotels.
