Quiet area a few minutes walk from the subway station with lots of eating areas nearby. Staff were very kind the breakfast was amazing as well as drinks we had at night time. The room was spacious even for 3 futon mattresses but the walk to the shared bathroom was through a cold hallway (in March). To get to the showers you would have to climb industrial steel cold stairs with all your clothes change since the shower is on another floor. These trips were just cold, cold, - not enough heating. The bathrobes are not automatically given as it is in the pictures but you have to ask for them. The Japanese flip flops were given but without regards for the size: sometimes too small, sometimes too large, sometimes with straps so tight it was impossible to put your feet in them. The ryokan is rather at a distance to the metro, about 8 minutes walk, and the area is devoid of character, just bland buildings and highways. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The Japanese breakfast (I had the fish) was very delicious. The ryokan was quiet, though I always travel with wax ear plugs, and my sleep was very comfortable. I felt there was more than enough space for myself and my things in the room. Overall condition of property was good and amenities were all clean. I really appreciated the Japanese breakfast options as they were all delicious and freshly prepared. The only annoyance I found, really, was that the my bedroom door was pretty thin and I could easily hear my neighbors scuffling around and talk outside of my room as it was in front of the washroom/sink. This wasn't a problem in the morning as I was already awake, but found this to be quite annoying at night while trying to sleep. Thankfully I packed some earplugs which was a good enough solution.
