"An excellent hotel. Super service from everyone we met. We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb as was breakfast this morning. Our room was well appointed, spotless, warm and comfortable. The whole experience was brilliant. A real country hotel feel yet with levels of service up there with the best one would expect from a city based one. We will definitely be back. "

"The location of the hotel was very good. The hotel was a little bit old fashion but the room we stayed was in a section relatively new and clean. Overall the staff was polite and helpful except the lady we first met during the check-in. We asked for a quiet room as we have sent an request message via Expedia in advance but the lady said there was no any message received and all rooms were quite full already before check the computer. As we arrived before the check-in time we asked if we could leave the luggage in the reception, her first reply was "no" and then said only could do with small cases. For other questions she just simply replied "maybe", "don't know" or "I can't tell you"."

"The room very small , bathroom no window , again small and steamed up , nothing like the website shows . Dangerous step down into room without warning. We had lunch on arrival with friends which was good , however breakfast the next morning was a disgrace and at £17.50 per head no wonder there was us and only one other table. Arriving back in the evening at around 8.30 pm hoping for a sandwich with our drink we were told there were non available as the Chef had gone home , very professional ! Totally over priced for what we received , I feel ripped off. This was Friday night , a busy time for hotels , not this one ."
