Daintree - Cape Tribulation Attractions

A few hours north of Cairns, Daintree is a quiet and relaxing kind of place, a far cry from the mass tourism of some of Queensland’s other destinations. Lying within the national park, Cape Tribulation is a very popular day trip, with a number of facilities for those that visit. The whole park contains lowland and upland tropical rainforest with an incredible array of biodiversity. Keep your eyes peeled for the large cassowaries as they amble through the forest. These large non-flying birds are unique to Australia. You can also spot saltwater crocodiles, but of course, don’t get too close. There are beaches here with crystal clear waters and the Great Barrier Reef lies just off the coast.
