"Room are a but tired and not many have aircon. Also there was no working lift. Lovely old manor house though and staff are great."

"Really nice hotel however try not to book a room at the back,we were in 406 really dark and lighting not very good, another downside if you like an ordinary cup of coffee in your room using the kettle they provide coffee bags which didn't taste very nice at all but that was me,other guests may feel differently ,great location 😀"

"Regular annual visitors to this hotel so knew what to expect. Room was large and clean. Staff we came across were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast room was very well stocked there was a really wide choice from the buffet. River walk of about 15 mins into the city. Very quiet at night on this occasion. Onsite car parking is £25 per day. Check in agent did not ask for payment and when i asked i was told it was included which surprised me as it never used to be. I went back later and challenged them on this again and surprise another check showed it wasn't so an apology was given and £50 was taken. Failure to pay would mean a £100 fine later on so beware of this. Couldn't get a stable picture on any tv channel which was a little frustrating but then we weren't there to watch tv."

"Great staff and service. Clean room with the basic facilities. Would have been exceptional had they provided a refrigerator and coffee machine. Nothing fancy , great value for money."

"Room was really clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. It made such lovely change to have a cooked breakfast brought to you instead of luke warm self service. Bar prices very reasonable. Restaurant food was great and reasonable prices."
