Il Signorino

“Il Signorino” of Borgo Fajani is a picturesque detached brick farmhouse arranged on two floors. Ground floor entrance into the large sitting/dining room with Tuscan fireplace; two brick columns divide the sitting and dining areas, at the same floor there is a bathroom with shower.
Stairs to first floor lead to two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi bathtube.
Casa Liliana shares the swimming-pool with 3 more units of "Borgo Fajani".
Although the pool is shared, the house has private sun-beds and sun-shades in a private part of the garden plus a private covered terrace with BBQ.

Two restaurants!
"La Locanda degli Artisti", a tiny cozy family pizzeria/restaurant is located few steps from the house.
And few steps away as well, "Laqua Vineyard" a Michelin 1 star restaurant!

Rustic Charm
Beautiful location with fantastic views over the Tuscan countryside. The accommodation was perfectly fine albeit somewhat basic but didn't detract from the charm of the place. Couple of observations/suggestions : - would benefit from air conditioning units in the bedrooms. Very difficult to sleep at night and leaving the windows open merely encouraged the mosquitoes. The mosquito nets on the windows were ineffectual as there was a large gap at the bottom. - the sunloungers would benefit from cushions. - reference should be made in the literature to the spiral staircase. Particularly difficult to negotiate with the suitcases. Not a major issue for us but potential clients should be warned. Nothwithstanding didn't detract from our holiday and we fell in love with the location. Alfredo was very welcoming and approachable Overall we were impressed with the accommodation and would recommend the location.

Charming relaxing and authentic Tuscan stay
We have stayed at Il Signorino house, part of Borgo Fajani for 6 days in June. We had fabulous stay exactly as promised by Alfredo himself and his website. The house was typical Tuscan very spartan arrangement but how authentic! It was spacious and open and the views from every window were to die for. The house was beautifully restored and well maintained. Apart from WiFi there were no luxuries but they were not necessary. It was the atmosphere of the place, access to fresh local produce, olive oil and wine and a little home restaurant 2 houses down from our place. The garden was beautiful and the pool sparkling clean offering relief in warm weather. The nights were fresh and cooler and we slept with all windows opened - no need for air conditioners. Alfredo was a great host tending to his property extremely well. He was around each day and spoke good English giving great tips on where to go and what to see. Casanova is quite central to some lovely old Tuscan cities like Volterra and San Gimigiano as well as other major places - Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Siena. It all depends on how much time one has but we were happy to just explore local spots within 30-40 min drive. My husband did a pizza/pasta course in nearby Peccioli and he loved it! We would certainly recommend staying in Borgo Fajani and would stay there again if we were visiting this area. This really suited our taste - fuss free, unpretentious stay in a simple but beautiful authentic surroundings and ability to explore local offerings. We had a glimpse of Alfredo's other houses and were impressed with his insistence on preserving local history and flavour in his accommodation. Domenika, Michel and Ella from Brisbane, Australia

We truly enjoyed our stay at Borgo Fajani!
The property was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, especially for breakfasts of cheese, jam, and croissants. The location was lovely and not far from the nearby towns, restaurants, shops, and wineries. Alfredo was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend visiting Borgo Fajani in Casanova.

Amazing place to stay with beautiful views of the Tuscany rolling hills
Alfredo our host was lovely and very friendly giving us lots of local inside information on the area and making us feel very welcome. We didn't want to leave the house as the villa was warn and cozy with breathtaking views of the Tuscany countryside. Everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The villa was well equipped with everything we needed to make our vacation wonderful. We enjoyed long walks and local organic produce made on the farm next door. Cheese, eggs, oil and floral honey. The villla is in the heart of the Tuscany wine trail so we took advantage of buying local wine and tasting the wine produced in Terricciola. Our experience in Tuscany was absolutely spectacular. We will be back.

Ideal location for visiting all the must see sights
Located in a small hamlet, this converted property ticked all our boxes for a perfect holiday. It is by no means luxurious, however the views from the house and grounds were amazing and the pool was most welcome in the heatwave we experienced whilst we were there. Our host Alfredo was very friendly and helpful, providing useful information about local events and tips on best times to visit the sights. There are excellent restaurants nearby and a supermarket in the next town for all your supplies. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and were really sad to leave.

Beautiful property, wonderful location, great host!
Alfredo was an excellent host and provided all of the amenities and information that we needed as well as making himself available to us throughout our stay if required. The converted farm building was beautifully renovated and had everything needed for us to make this gorgeous little corner of Tuscany our home for a short while. The surroundings were exactly as we had hoped - peaceful, rolling green hills and misty sunrises. There were a few little villages dotted close by within 10 minutes by car and larger cities (Florence, Pisa, Siena etc.) all with 90minutes by car. We will absolutely be back again to stay with Alfredo and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for their first taste of Tuscany! Thank you!!
