"We stayed 8 nights in the 4 bedroom house. Location was excellent and the surroundings in the castle, the garden and the pool were very beautiful and well kept and we enjoyed spending lots of time in the pool. The house was large and suitable for 6 persons and overall the house was nice. However, we did find the kitchen under average considering the price for renting the house for 8 days. Considering that there is space for sleeping 8 people, there were only 5 small spoons, only 5 drinking glasses and not small pots to cook in, only bigger ones of 6 liters. We lacked an oven and a grill so the cooking was very simple as we didnt have the right equipment. It would have been nice with a vacum cleaner in the house as the floor easily gets dirty when you run in and out of the house and with 6 people and especially since there is no cleaning done during the 8 days. So i would say that considering the price, the kitchen was under standard and should (and could) easily be upgraded with few things to be improved."

"LOVED this place! 15 of our family members stayed here to celebrate my 50th birthday for the week and we had the most wonderful time! Nicola is the best host! He was so accommodating and always had the best recommendations even making dinner reservations for us and eager to help in any way and any time of the day! House was clean, peaceful and fully stocked with everything we needed! What an amazing experience I highly recommend Nicola’s place! We hope to be back in the future!"

"We loved Castello di Montegufoni. We felt like royalty in our large rooms. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was small but adequate. I plan to go again. This is a great place to stay as a base when visiting Tuscany. "

"This is a working winery and while the apartments are somewhat rustic and without air conditioning they provided much of the charm and experience that we were looking for during our stay in Tuscany. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the wines produced by the winery. Natalia and Roberta were especially friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the buffet dinner that was available on our first night that included delicious food and wines. We also took advantage of the daily breakfast since the location is somewhat remote. Alternatively, one could easily prepare their own breakfast in the apartment kitchen but we opted for the convenience. Although remote the property is conveniently located in the countryside about midway between Florence and Siena which were the two cities we planned to visit during our stay. There is a pool on the property and we did also enjoy a stroll into the vineyards one evening to watch the sunset. The reason for the lower rating with facilities is primarily around some plumbing inconvenience which was not confined to just our unit but was being appropriately addressed by the property and we did not experience any issues on our last couple of days. Overall, our experience was excellent and I would stay there again if I return to Tuscany."
