spitzen Hotel!!!

Posted 26-Dec-2016
Pros: einfach alles!

A beautiful hotel that is close to the beach, but is down a fairly steep slope so not good for people who struggle to walk. Need to walk to get to a few restaurants and shops. Hotel food is good, especially breakfasts. The evening buffet is fine but pricey at 35 euros if you don't want to eat a lot. No water or coffee making facilities in the room. Pool areas lovely. Spa pool too- but you have to pay 15 euros for each zone and there are three.

Erstklassiges Hotel mit gebührenfreien Parkplätzen

Posted 21-Dec-2016

Great hotel, friendly staff

Posted 17-Dec-2016
Pros: Lovely breakfast choice, friendly staff... a quiet hotel that's outside from all the hustle
Location: Short walk to the beach
Overall myself and my girlfriend enjoyed a brilliant stay at this hotel, all the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Our room had a decent view but wanted an upgrade spoke with reception and gave us a few to choose from with a price of course but well worth it as we got a fantastic panaramic view. If your taking a taxi to the airport I'd buy a ticket from reception as it's a fixed cost of €26... also complimentary room after checkout helps if you have a evening flight home but want to shower before you head to the airport.

Don't book half board!!

Posted 29-Nov-2016
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Hot food/ new chefs!
Location: Close to La Calleta with restaurants and ocean views/tapas bar. Quite close to Playa Fanabe and Las Americas. Golf course at La Calleta.
This is a nice hotel although the furniture and general decor is a bit old fashioned. When I commented on this I was told it was the "plantation styling" and deliberate. I can't argue with that but it's not my personal favourite decor and to be honest I thought it all looked a little tired. The staff here are great, really helpful and got me a room move when I pointed out that our original view was over a building site adjacent to the hotel. The single biggest problem we had is that we pre booked and paid for half board and the hot food on the buffet each night was simply awful. I wish we'd booked b&b and used the local restaurants in La Calleta (4€ taxi ride). The best hot food we got all week was from a local tapas bar!! - In addition, we tried the poolside restaurant and got served shoulder of Pork burned as black as a chimney sweeps brushes. We also tried room service pizza and they got this badly wrong 2 out of 3 attempts. Having seen previous reviews raving about the buffet, we were hugely disappointed on our stay.

A pleasant hotel

Posted 20-Nov-2016
Pros: The pools - there are several: some unheated and some heated.
Cons: There was not a nice central bar area.
Location: The hotel is located on a hill. It is a 10 - 15 minute walk from the coast.
The room was good, very comfortable bed. It had a balcony facing the sea - there was quite a lot of traffic noise from the road close by. The breakfast was very good. There was a nice pool area.

Super Frühstück und Buffet.

Posted 05-Nov-2016
