Relaxing Holiday

Posted 26-Aug-2016
Pros: Plenty to offer and great kids club.
Cons: WiFi kicks out when you move around the hotel?
Location: Out of the way only 10 minute walk in the main areas, but nice and relaxing.
Great staff and lovely hotel. Great range of pools and the food was excellent.

Calm oasis

Posted 20-Aug-2016
Pros: Peaceful, good location up from the beach so benefitting from a nice breeze.
Cons: A shorter route down to the beach from the back of the hotel would be good, as would a small shop selling basic groceries (water etc).
Pleasant hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff. Reasonably large but never felt crowded and whole space well looked after. Buffet food was tasty and a good range provided.

Great Family Hotel

Posted 16-Aug-2016
Pros: Quiet, clean and friendly hotel. Pools great for children and because of the separation there is no feeling of overcrowding.
Cons: The service was really excellent, the only thing I could suggest would be more children's entertainment in the evening
Location: Aqualand is close by and the dolphin experience was worth the additional money. Only downside is the salt water in the park.
We gad a wonderful 10 night stay at this lovely hotel. The only downside is that it is at the top of a hill but the hotel itself was marvellous and the hill would not be enough to stop us staying there again. A short walk to the beach, a nice walk to La Caletta and handy for beach front restaurants for an evening meal. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and very good with the children (especially Moises). Would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel - not particularly child friendly

Posted 14-Aug-2016
Booked a last minute holiday here in August. The hotel was nice but wasn't the best if you had children. There was a kids club during the day but not much in the way of entertainment in the eve ( for either adults or children - live music only). Even though there is a designated adults only pool we were not allowed to use our inflatable in the other main pools . We could only use it in the children's pool which was tiny and only waist high - no good for older kids. Of course we only found this out after buying one from the hotel shop! There were some games in the salon but we couldn't put together a whole set of anything (dominoes chess etc). Many of the pieces were missing. You would think a so called 5 star would do better than that. Food was good and staff were nice. It strikes me as a hotel that should be for adults only but tolerates children. We had a nice time but much better in the iberostar anthelia down the road which is much better for families.

Lovely Hotel - Great Staff

Posted 10-Aug-2016
Pros: Staff, pools, location, relaxation
Cons: The live evening music seems to stop at 10pm and it would be nice for some background music until say 12.
Location: Very near beach and shopping centre. Waterparks less than Eur10 away in a taxi.
Just back from a week at Vincci Selección La Plantación del Sur with our twins girls aged 9. It is a lovely 5* hotel and would definitely recommend it. The staff were all superb, very friendly nothing was too much trouble. The pools were outstanding and although you need to get up early to secure a poolside 'Bed', there were always enough loungers and towels for everyone. We were half board and the food was very good for buffet style meals. I would definitely recommend the kids club, our girls were reluctant at first but once they went we couldn't get them out of there. The magic show is excellent. Remember this is a 5* hotel so drinks and snack prices will be higher than the norm but look for the 'specials board' by the pool restaurant for cheap cocktails and even a 'bucket of beers (5)' for Eur 7 which is an absolute bargain. It is a short walk to a lovely beach and restaurants and even a free shuttle bus if you can't be bothered to walk down the hill. Overall we were very impressed, so much so that this is the first review I have ever done on the internet. Enjoy the Plantation!

Hotel in need of investment to compete with others

Posted 07-Aug-2016
Hotel ok but needs investment. Not enough beds around the pools and suffers by allowing people to reserve them by getting up early and placing their towel on the bed. Large parts of hotel have no atmosphere. Charging for access to sauna and steam???

Very nice hotel. Staff excellent and very helpful

Posted 27-Jul-2016
Stayed with our 3 year old. Staff excellent, very friendly, and very helpful. English man checked us in and was rude about us being Expedia bookers-you dint get the a la carte dining with Expedia apparently! We stayed in junior suite which was beautiful. Hotel itself was faultless. Pools were very clean and great for kids. Get a sun lounger in a good spot early. Food was fantastic with a different theme each night, the seafood night was superb. The kids club was excellent, under 4 you have to stay with them but they can still go and the activities were really varied. Only slight negative was the entertainment in the evening was very same-y. Acoustic guitar and singing, no big shows or great kids entertInment which if your used to with luxury 5 stars you will not have here. That said there are other things to do like walking around the town which is lovely at night. We loved this hotel and met lots of really nice people. Try it out. We have high expectations of 5 star all inclusives and this is different but it was excellent x
