Set and tucked peacefully in the aspen and spruce forest this home enjoy's privacy and exceptional sunsets. Classic Log mountain home with a genuine, rustic appeal and plentiful daylight. Perched in the spruce pines this 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2 level private home is located in the Mountain Village Ski Ranches, just a short drive to the towns of Mountain Village and Telluride, with easy access to hiking, biking, skiing and golf. The home sits on 1.5 acres with a fantastic front porch and views of Mount Sneffels, plenty of lawn space and a great patio with outdoor dining and grill for outdoor entertaining. The open floor plan on the main level allows for all guests to be together and enjoy the entertainment throughout the great room, dining area and kitchen. The social kitchen has views not only for the chef but also for those seated along with counter watching the preparation. The kitchen comes well-equipped and the floor to ceiling windows and wood burning fireplace provide a warm and comfortable ambiance, and a separate powder room is off of the great room. The master bedroom and bath are spacious and comfortable with a bright work area and desk with views. Walkout decks are located on this level, with a gas grill and dining table. A spacious loft overlooks the living space with staircase access and has a queen bed, work desk and a game table to add to this already comfortable, warm home. The lower level has the ground floor entry off of the garage, spacious entry way and staircase leading to the living level.Four bedrooms consisting of two Queen bedrooms, one king bedroom en suite and a bunk room with four twin beds, all rooms are comfortable and spacious and bright, easy access to the ground level deck and the large hot tub to soak up the views. We were informed hours before check in that there was no hot water in the house, despite us following up with the property manager to understand the issue and solutions for our stay prior to check in, we did not hear back from the host until an hour after check in. We were then told that the host had the option to cancel our stay and leave us stranded while we were 7 hours away from home and the town was sold out for Bluegrass festival. As there were no other suitable options for our family we had to stay the entire weekend with no running hot water and had to boil water on the stove to bathe our small children. Despite this major issue, the property manager was extremely rude, unhelpful and defiant and provided a very small credit that did not make up for this issue. We do not recommend ever staying at this property or working with this host for any Telluride stay. ##### Daniel H. Stayed 14 nights in Jul 2022 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Julie H., Phoenix, AZ 8 Aug 2021 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Wonderful cabin getaway We stayed at the cabin with 6 adults, 2 toddlers, and 1 infant. It’s not exactly able to be baby proofed but we had a blast anyway! Comfortable with a good balance of spacious and cozy, the location can’t be beat. It’s a quick drive from the gondola and town, but also feels secluded. The internet was good, kitchen supplies well stocked (could use a new butcher knife but that’s ok!), and had plenty of games and amenities for a longer stay. The hot tub was great. The jets in the master tub could use a good cleaning out but otherwise the place was basically spotless. Would love to stay here again (when the toddlers aren’t such a danger to themselves with stairs and sharp corners). Highly recommend. ##### Julie H.
