It was a little difficult to find but this was one of the reasons we liked it. We were greeted by james, the owner who was very friendly and helpful. At short notice he made us a lovely 3 course meal that was very tasty and good value for money. The following day he arranged a guide for us to take us to the waterfalls and the chagga musuem. The building is absolutely beautiful and feels like it has been there forever, even in the new parts. The room was spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. They filter their water so you can use the taps no problem to brush teeth but they provide lots of bottled water as well. The location is perfect for exploring Stone Town, which is very safe to walk around on your own. The views of the ocean from the hotel are endless. And the staff goes above and beyond - everyone is helpful, always smiling and wants to make sure your stay is perfect. Our only regret is we didn't spend an extra few nights here.
