I enjoyed everything about the hotel - from the grandeur, elegance, food and location. Excellent value for money.
Slightly surprised that you need to pay to use the gym but that’s a relatively minor problem.

Perfect hotel! It’s is perfectly placed next to everything you need and walking distance to the station. The hotel itself is very clean, spacious with great views, very classy and very nice staff. You can see the property is well kept and cared for. I will certainly stay here again without any hesitation on my next visit and stay in Kobe. The room was huge, especially by Japanese standards. Also one thing I loved was how the aircon kept a very comfortable atmosphere in the room, including the...

Absolutely love this hotel! Second stay here and will definitely stay here again if I go back to Kobe. Staff all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and restaurant was too. Great location with connections to other cities like Osaka and Kyoto. Shopping street literally a minute away with more just a bit further away.

Excellent value for money. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for exploring Kobe Port. For the price, the quality of the accommodation exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Kobe.

It's a really nice hotel.
Beautiful staff - polite, efficient, friendly, and fluent in English.
Very good breakfast.
Excellent spa with a sauna and cold bath.
Also, the hotel is in a very good location.
- The service water in the lobby often runs out, but that's due to guests filling up their bottles, which is not good manner of course.

Takeyaso Inn is a lovely, traditionally inviting 1920's building and super friendly place to stay. Conveniently located a few minutes walk from the trains, buses and shops.
Although a little difficult to locate for a novice British traveler to Japan, I would highly recommend it if you're looking for the 'proper' Japanese experience.
The owner speaks perfect English, and the staff have a good knowledge too. Staying at Takeyaso felt like a Ghibli movie, with all the charm you would expect. Being...
