The room was simple but tidy, and I really appreciated the snacks, coffee and tea available in the lobby, as well as the shared space where we could sit together and enjoy takeout. The only downside was that the air conditioning in the room was very cold and could not be adjusted to a lower setting, but the staff were happy to provide an extra blanket when I asked. I was there for 5 days and and the dryer was only operational for 1\. The wifi was terrible. If you need to do work in your room you were lucky to get 10 minutes of connectivity. The lobby internet was better. The location is the best thing about it. It only has one floor, so it is easy to navigate from the lobby after checking in to the rooms. Room was spacious and clean. Only downside was the soundproofing was lacking. The bed was comfy, the rooms were nice, there's lots of thoughtful touches, and there's even a deep tub in the large bathroom. Outer look of the building looks pretty run down. Room service cleaning, they only will change away towel and floor towel, they will not make your bed for you. Overall okay. Just a few mins walk from Taipei Main station which is linked to all the main transports (HSR, Airport train & buses). Downstairs is the underground malls, plenty of food options around, walkable to XMD as well! Only slight imperfection is the location of one powerpoint that's in the way of the pillow (if u use that powerpoint, u will keep hitting your head with it). My teenagers loved that they can redeemed free cup noodles from 9pm-12mn!
