"This house worked well for our family visit. The snow was fantastic and there is a relatively flat area behind the house that is great for snow play. Typical of the houses in Tahoe-Donner in the winter, one wants to be very careful pulling out of the driveway due to cars driving reasonably fast and no visibility due to the snow banks. "We have stayed at many VRBO's and several in Tahoe Donner. This one was OK. Not terrible by any means -- and we have stayed in terrible -- but not fantastic. The biggest surprise was dealing with Vacasa. Upon arrival we reported that a rec pass was missing (which meant not everyone in our party could enjoy the amenities) and they never followed up. "We had a great time staying at Vladimir's Home on Skislope Way. The house was very spacious and comfortable for our large group. Every room & bathroom in the house was gorgeous and had plenty of room. Unfortunately we stayed here during a historic snowfall event (10' of snow in 5 days) and Skislope Way is the last road the town plows during snowfall. "Wonderful little cabin nestled in the woods just a couple miles from Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski. Ample room for a large group with kids. Parking is not a problem (driveway is paved and plowed). 2-car garage was also convenient. The main criticism is that this place is old and not well maintained. The house was buried in rock hard snow (blocking windows, decks, even the garbage can locker). Rugs are from the 70's and the mattresses on the beds are sunken in. The heaters are not well controllable...
