Lovely pub with rooms. Went for a friends birthday and had a super time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m coeliac and the choice of gluten free food was very good. The fish and chips were excellent! Would highly recommend.

Good size room with everything you need, really good breakfast

The owner has only been there a short time so some rooms are still to be upgraded. However, mine was excellent with everything I needed. Staff are exceptionally helpful and the food is amazing with a large, varied gluten free menu and nothing too much trouble. Parking is easy. Highly recommended

A little off the beaten track but this hotel is of exceptional quality and it a bargain for the price we paid. VERY quiet and comfortable. Superb breakfast too. We'll definitely return!

Fantastic new hotel with great facilities but no tea/ coffee or even a glass in the room so not great if you are thirsty!

The staff, particularly Jasmine, were excellent in gheur customer service.

A very comfortable pleasant hotel, we went for the tennis courts, the staff and facilities were very good, a room fridge would have been nice, and a later breakfast finish on weekdays would have meant we didn't go hungry on Monday morning.

The room is very tidy and clean. I find the room seems newly renovated. It was a cold night and I have the heater on and the room warm up very fast. The room was quiet at night even it’s a Saturday night. Quite a different narrative to the receptionist warn me while check in. Probably my room is at far end and facing other side.

From the moment we checked in the whole stay was second to none, normally this is a one or perhaps two night stay but we had about a week there. The staff were so helpful and very courteous on all levels, the room was clean and lovely bath towels provided. We used the fridge and iron and there video choices, even the water provided was a welcome touch. The morning breakfasts were delightful and catered for everyone, staff exceptional even when busy. We used the hotel as a base to visit the Bombay Sapphire gin factory which was very close by. It was an emotional visit for me as i last saw the hotel as my boarding school in 1968 I also fount my initials carved on a wall I remember this even after 48 years The hotel was fantastic we enjoyed our stay for one night and had a lovely breakfast. Absolutely lovely stay at The Royal oak. Beautifully decorated throughout, with a really warm and homely feel. Staff were welcoming, dinner and breakfast were first-class and my room was spotlessly clean with a great bathroom and comfy bed. Would definitely return, I stayed for work but it would be a lovely place for a weekend away.

Very attentive staff despite arriving on a busy Saturday evening. Clean rooms, nice food with great service. Parked round the back so don't panic if no parking at the front. Booked family room which was on first floor - but no lift so tricky with baby buggy. Also room was quite warm and AC didn't work, but saying that I would book here again and was happy with this hotel.
