We booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday , we wanted a relaxing weekend and the white horse seemed to offer what we were looking for . Right from check-in i realised we had definitely picked the right place . We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our room . The management, front of house, waiting and cleaning staff where all very polite and extremely helpful. The room which was on the M1 and A38 side of the hotel had excellent triple glazing so we experienced no noise at all. It was a large room that was air conditioned with a big radiator and a fan plus all the of the other items you expect in a hotel room. The breakfast offered was excellent and wide ranging in its provision, from carnivores to vegetarians and vegans, from fried breakfasts...

The cleanliness, especially at this time, the attention and politeness you get from the staff and the peacefulness of the area it is set in.

This is truly a wonderful hotel to stay I've stayed in hundreds of hotels This is in my top 3 to stay in If I'm ever working in Sheffield area again. I'll have no hesitation in booking this wonderful hotel The food is so well presented and taste delicious. Also I would like to make a serious point that the staff are so helpful polite and above all can't do enough for you It so wonderful Five stars to all

Only stayed for one night on way home, wished was longer. Fabulous hotel in a lovely setting that would be a perfect base for local attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful, room great with gorgeous view and breakfast excellent. Arrived late but squeezed in a drink at bar...food menu looked good.

Great place to stay. Spacious quiet rooms, lovely lobby bar, everything quite new and comfy. The only one issue: no electricity plugs by the bed, what was really strange.

Loved this place! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Loved the service with a smile very welcoming. Will definitely return here.

I can not say enough good thigs about this place. The receptionist Charlotte was super welcoming, friendly and extremley helpful. Natalie the house keep was really accomodating and asked if there was anything extra we needed like: shampoo, towels, pillows. Great staff and a great stay, the room was good, the bed was comfy and the room smelled amazing and was very clean. Def book this place! I would def book this place again.

Had a great overnight stay. Lovely room with view on golf course. Nice to have bath with separate shower. Reception team very kind and helpful as were the staff in Roosters restaurant and the breakfast room. I took advantage of the nearby included gym and pool (12 min drive or the hotel also has a free bookable shuttle). All in all I was very impressed.

Stayed here for a wedding as a family of four. Very nice room, a little bit on the expensive side but weighing up a taxi home 40 miles and breakfast it worked out about the same. Breakfast was very good. The drinks at the bar were a bit on the expensive side at £8 a pint but what can you do
