Beachwalk Resort Guest House for 4 with pool/beach access

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We honestly had a wonderful time. The location was great and so close to the beach and the property was nice and clean. We had our 6 month old baby with us as well. We kept it organized the whole time which helped with the flow and being organized with our daughter. The couch was nice and comfy and the kitchen was nice too- however, the bed frame was broken on the right side, which made it so loud getting on and off the bed. Also- we were pretty hot- the AC was working but it’s a smaller unit, and we felt warmer most of the time. We had to turn it pretty low to get comfy. Overall, it was a nice stay. Those are the only 2 things I’d correct."

However, it was not clean at all. The amount of money we pay for a cleaning fee was NOT put to good use for this rental."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Steps From the Beach. The hosts were easy to communicate with and make check in easy. The property includes everything you could possibly need to enjoy the beach - chairs, umbrellas and lots of other things for the kids to enjoy. The indoors has everything you need to cook and enjoy time with family."

"We had a lovely long weekend at this property. The house is just a short walk to the beach and all of the resort amenities. Everything you need is in this house. Check in and check out was very easy and everyone at the resort were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back!"

"Its a one room octagon shape , has a real kitchen . The hot water is insanely hot and the bathroom is so tiny and unfinished. There's a hot tub and a sauna but the sauna is a very small portable enclosed plastic enclosure . I wasn't impressed by it . The closeness to the beach makes this property and it was so nice to be able to walk to the beach whenever I wanted ."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I grew up in the beach area of Michigan City and spent much or our adult life there. We miss the lake and return every summer to see family and spent time at the beach. The property had a great location and the beaches in Sheridan Beach are some of the best on Lake Michigan. The house needs a deep cleaning inside and out. The kids were comparing how dirty their feet and socks were after walking on the floor for a few hours. There was a strong musty smell when we arrived so we opened the widows. The air conditioning kept the garden floor very cold but the main floor was uncomfortably warm during the day despite having the AC run full time. We only found one beach towel and one beach chair. We didn't realize there was a nice grill and a beach wagon in the storage garage until we were there for several days. I would have been nice to have a note letting us know of this storage area. It is very damp in the storage area. There was an umbrella laying on the damp floor that we didn't attempt to use as it looked rather dirty. The property company was very responsive. We had two minor maintenance issue that were dealt with quickly. Not trying to be too negative just want to let someone know so they can make this great location even better."
