The minute we walked in the front door, all we could smell was mold and mildew. This appeared to be the general smell of the carpeting throughout. I don’t think they knew what they were doing at check in. They took my credit card and appear to check us in and then said that the room wasn’t ready. Later, when we came back, they said they had never swipe my credit card and they needed it again to get us into the room. The desk clerk indicated that it was his first day and everything was very confused and very slow. The pool was very very small and cloudy, and I couldn’t do my typical early morning workout routine. Due, apparently, to a special event in the area, we paid approximately twice as much as one would normally pay for a simple hotel room. Now I get home and find out that I may have been charged for another guest‘s room? Or perhaps I was charged twice for my room? I get a receipt by email that says that they don’t have the guest address, but that my signature was on file and my credit card was used for their room bill? Right now, the charges are listed as processing and it says they may change. If they are still on my card, I will be taking it up with my bank on the next business day.
