"The room could do with a little more cleaning and there was some black mould around the bath tub. The toilet needed a deep clean too! The staff on reception were excellent and special mention to Scarlet, Chloe and Josh for their help and kindness. Scarlet was particularly helpful in sorting out an alternative room for me as I wasn’t keen having a room with an adjoining door to the next room (even though it was locked!) Also special thanks to Jack (who managed the spa) and was very keen to try and sort out an issue with the steam room. He was very apologetic about this particular facility having constant issues. All in all an enjoyable stay."

"Great reception colleague (Ronnie) helpful and considerate, good to be reminded to register car reg. to qualify for the invaluable free parking (grim job otherwise as due to its prime location, it's got lots of cars looking to park!). Room cleaning exemplary, shower great, beds and bedding great, carpets all clean etc... In house restaurant very good - we had very nice asian meals with lots of good ingredients, but other foods were available to eat more informally in the bar area; helpful and professional staff in the restaurant and bar; good, sensible selection of beers and wines. Altogether a thoroughly pleasant experience staying here, and we'll book again should we be returning anytime soon!"

"It was pleasant enough. The staff we encountered were really friendly. The decor is a bit dated. Smelt a bit fusty … but it’s an old building so what do you expect. Lovely grounds. I struggled to sleep as the bed was too soft for me (personal preference). Not sure I’d stay again but did the job for the evening."
