"We were very glad to find the Campanile at Wakefield. It is tucked away in a comfortable and quiet corner of an industrial estate. The room was as we expected - clean, comfortable and very user-friendly. We were particularly pleased to discover the pleasant bar and restaurant area situated in Reception. Although a limited evening menu at weekends, we enjoyed nicely presented burgers and chips, (the buttermilk chicken very good), and the cooked full english break fast was appreciated in the morning. We expect to return when in the area. "

"Chose this hotel as we are travelling as a family with my teen and their friend. Wanted a separate space for them without it being a second room booking. Stayed in the Dainton suite and it was just what we needed. Two bedrooms with their own shower and a shared bathroom. Cost was comparable to the price of a standard family room in other city hotels. "

"Excellent stay; the room was a decent size and was quite peaceful, despite the fact that it overlooked the square below and that there was live music playing, which we enjoyed listening to in the square but we could hardly hear it from our room. The staff were courteous and respectful, and the hotel was clean and welcoming."

"The house is a very unique house with a deep history set in extensive formal gardens. The staff, particularly in reception and the Restaurant are attentive and very pleasant. The age and design of the house allows functions such as weddings and prom parties to be held without disturbing other guests. It may be a little dog-eared but that seems to add to its charm."

"Great location for train and bus station, and within close proximity to the city centre. Very clean and comfortable room, but there is no air con available in the rooms which wasn’t ideal during a rather hot weekend. I did appreciate the fan supplied which helped overnight. Overall very happy with the stay and would recommend for the price. "
